You can thank Jack LaLanne for your Cobra Back, because he brought vertical pulling into the mainstream and specifically the lat pulldown.
The design has evolved over time and the pinnacle is the Atlantis PW623 Unilateral Lat Pulldown machine, designed to follow the arm’s natural arc through a 360° swivel handle, while a support handle isolates the working side. Dual pivot points keep resistance smooth through the whole movement.
If you’re interested in the PW623 Unilateral Lat Pulldown DM us or contact us through our website.

Money no object what would your fantasy home gym look like? Terrazzo underfoot. Brass catching the light. Palms standing quietly in the corner.
This is a concept gym for a version of Miami that never quite existed, all Art Deco restraint and 1930s glamour, reimagined for serious training. No compromise on space, light or material. What fantasy gym would you design?
We’ve all been told to complete 3 sets of 10, but why and where does this protocol come from?
Well, it was designed by Dr Thomas DeLorme in the 1940s as a rehabilitation for injured WW2 soldiers. His approach was pretty radical for its time as he prescribed heavy resistance training when everyone else recommended light repetitive exercises.
DeLorme research showed that twenty to thirty total repetitions with heavy loads built muscle much faster than doing seventy or more reps. His method states using fifty percent of your ten rep max for set one. Seventy five percent effort for set two and Go all out for set three.
The first sets are designed to prepare your muscles for the final set that does the hard work. The science still holds up today and that’s why physiotherapists and bodybuilders still use it.
If you have a podcast is about strength, performance, or coaching, Swiss Strength Campus offers something very different: a fully equipped training space that can be part of your video podcast.
We can arrange cameras, lighting and microphones, giving you a professional setup without having to build one from scratch.
Bring along your own kit, if you have it and use Campus as the backdrop, lending instant credibility to your production. You can demonstrate exercises, talk through equipment or simply use the space to give your podcast an authentic feel.
There are plenty of podcast studios and plenty of gyms, but very few places where the two come together.
DM us about booking the space.
Hypertrophy is simply the process of increasing muscle size in response to resistance training.
When you train a muscle with enough resistance and effort, it adapts by increasing the amount of contractile tissue within its fibres and with consistent training, recovery and nutrition, this leads to greater muscle size over time.
Hypertrophy training can use a wide range of weights, reps and exercises but the key is providing enough resistance and gradually building up the resistance.
Building and maintaining muscle is important for strength and performance as well as healthy ageing.
At Swiss Strength, we supply Atlantis equipment for private and professional training spaces.
So, If you’re planning a strength training space? Speak to us for advice on choosing equipment that suits the way you train.
We regularly see the same mistake when clients spec a home gym: buying too much equipment. Often with the best intentions, we see room fills up with machines, weights and accessories that sit there collecting dust.
Before whipping out the credit card think about how you actually train and how much space is available.
Focusing on a smaller number of well-chosen, multifunctional pieces will usually cover everything needed.
At Swiss Strength Bespoke, equipment is specified for what will actually get used, even when that means fewer machines. The job is to design the training space around how the client trains
Legend has it, this man, Georg Hackenschmidt, was the inspiration for the hack squat. A wrestling world champion and self-styled “Russian Lion,” he’s credited with squatting against a bar loaded behind him rather than across his shoulders. The angle changes what the knee does under load more than most people notice and probably designed to help his own knee problems. The Atlantis Hack Squat Pro runs on the same principle, built onto a fixed track, that Georg never had, and it’s been one of their best sellers ever since.
They missed the boat by minutes. Ordering direct seems like a great idea until you miss the boat, or some other deadline you didn’t factor in. When the next ship doesn’t set sail for 6 days the knock on problems start racking up. Storage fees, changing logistics the other end and contractors sitting idle on site. We handle the sourcing, logistics, fees, exchange rates, so you don’t have to, all through one contact.
Filming in a public gym is agony, thankfully here at Campus you can have a fully stocked gym without the members walking through your shot. This is not a fake gym set, it’s proper working gym with space for your filming set up.
