Well played to our Apsley Bs today playing another hot one, away vs Thorndon Cs.
A 2-6 result against the division leaders and what sounds like a great afternoon of solid tennis with close sets.

Top of Div 4 Thornden were showing great consistency and gave a solid defence of the ground they held.
I think we gave a brilliant performance and strongly challenged for the whole afternoon.

Our Apsley As played Thorndon at home yesterday. Considering Thorndon are enjoying an easy ride at the top of the premier division, and that they probably sent out their strongest possible team, we did really well.

Some hard fought points and games were won by us in a few long matches, just not quite enough to topple their crown.

Very well played Dan, Rachy B, Steph, Tom C, Lorelei, Sarah, Blake and Sally.

Three more Apsley matches to go in our quest to stay up in the premier division.

A huge well done to our valiant Apsley As mini team today playing away vs a strong Warsash A contingent.

This was a rescheduled match where Lucy, Gemma, Anil and Tom pulled together at the last minute and rescued us from no show deduction points with so many of our A squad being away.

A big thank you and very well played from us all.

Last Saturday our Apsley As played away vs Riverside A.

We came second (5-3) against a strong side but fun was had and we got to play with our lovely Jen and Phil one last time before their new adventures properly begin.

Aure and Dan were happy with an early exit making a brewery trip possible. Thanks to AI, our original team pic of 6 is even more cheery.

The ladies B team played a tough match last Saturday.

“It was another scortching day with the ladies b team match played away at Andover tennis club. We all fought hard against an exceptional first pair and a very strong second pair resulting in 3-1 loss. Thank you to all who played.”

Well done to our Apsley As who beat Swanmore at home today 5-3. Four championship tie breaks were mostly won by us, in constant sweltering heat. Nerves of steel!

A long, nail biting neck and neck ladies doubles finally clinched the win and an outstanding tea was obliterated by us all.

Yesterday saw our 2026 mixed tournament, organized and orchestrated seamlessly as ever by David.
Big sunshine and lots of close, fun matches.
Well done everyone and good luck to the group winners in yr semis final matches.
Finals day is on September 13th.

Our women’s Bs played away winning 3-1. Our men’s Cs at home winning 3-1 and our women’s A’s also at home with another 3-1 win.
