Lift weights.
I’m lucky enough to move a lot for 3 days of my working week as a PT, BootCamp, Strength & Core and Kettlercise Instructor. (I sit in an office for the other 2).
But that’s my job…it’s not enough.
I lift weights 3 times a week and aim to target all the major muscle groups.
Each week will include but not limited to:
🏋️♀️ Weighted squats…current goal is 1.5 my body weight (working on that both ways🤣)
🔸Weighted lunges
🔸Weighted deadlifts. Again aiming for 1.5 times my body weight.
🔸Bench chest press…long way to go to my goal
🔸Tricep dips
🔸Rows
🔸Back flys
🔸Core work
Why do I lift weights?
🔺For my bone health
🔺To maintain my muscle mass
🔺To maintain my weight
🔺To be strong for all the other things I love to do
🔺For my mental health.
Do I always feel like it? Absolutely not.
Is it hard work? Absolutely it is.
Do I feel better after a session? Always.
Is it worth it? Totally.
Do you want to be strong enough to live a long and healthy life?
Lift weights!
Join me online for a 30 mins Kettlercise session Monday and Tuesday - a great start to your day. One piece of kit!

Pre ski yoga with Adriene.
Rather a lovely setting!
Hope all the squats and lunges have paid off for you all this half term whatever you are up to.

Proud moment!
I’ve played competitive netball for years with my lovely friend Sue but on Wednesday night it was a first to play with our daughters! Amelia and Evie.
We are part of the Swan netball club . Our team Swan Gold is a made up of a fabulous group of women who it is an absolute pleasure to play with.
This league is a long one in that it runs through to the end of June and with Covid hitting us what feels like weekly we recruited some of our daughters who also train with Swan to play for us.
Apparently we play ‘odd’🤣
Not sure how I feel about being the ‘short one’.
Great game…shame we lost but they had premier league players was our excuse!
It won’t be long before my other two daughters are on the court with me.
What have you played or competed against with your son or daughter?

Just a reminder there are NO classes today!
Sorry but I will be reaping the rewards of doing 100’s of squats every week!
It really has helped!!
Even those pesky Tricep dips means the occasional up hill pushes are easier!
Why do we strength train? So we can do the things we love with more ease for many years to come.
Where have you seen the benefit of a strong body?

Iceland 2022
It is almost unheard of me to cancel a class but last week I did…for a great trip away. It was a present from my husband for my big birthday last year!
What an amazing trip we had. Super lucky to fly in on Tuesday given Reykjavík was locked down the day before due to 120km winds!
We were so fortunate with the weather at the Blue Lagoon, we lucked out in seeing the Northern Lights (it is definitely not photoshopped as my Mum thought!) and whilst the volcano had stopped erupting, we walked the lava fields and snowmobiled on the glacier.
Thank you Iceland for wonderful hospitality, fabulous scenery and delicious food to boot.
