THE FA CUP JOURNEY CONTINUES! 🏆🖤🤍

As manager, I'm proud to still be flying the flag and representing Wimborne in the Women’s FA Cup. These cup runs can create special memories.⚽️✨

This Sunday, we face another test as we hit the road to take on Tiverton Town. We are really looking forward to the challenge in what should be an entertaining game of football. 🛣️🔥

A BIG thank you to the Wimborne Town Supporters Club for backing us and providing the transport for this fixture. Their generosity and continued support of the women’s section make an incredible difference. 🙌🤝

LEAGUE CAMPAIGN KICKS OFF TOMORROW! 🖤🤍

The wait is finally over! Tomorrow, Sunday 13th September, we get our league season underway as we welcome Bursledon to the Wyatt Homes Stadium!

Competition for places is fiercer than ever. We are delighted to have a full, healthy 25-player squad to select from, which has left manager John Dover facing some incredibly tough selection decisions to narrow the group down to tomorrow’s 16-player matchday squad. 📋🧠

Among those selections, John is also incredibly pleased to see Ellie Chaffe back and available for first-team action following her dedicated recovery from a long-term injury. Having Ellie's quality and power back in the fold is a boost for everyone at the club! 👍🏻

With kick-off confirmed for 2:00 PM on the main stadium pitch, a decent home crowd would really help lift the girls and give us that extra push to start the league campaign on the front foot. 🏟️📣

Get down to New Cuthbury, bring the noise, and back the Female Magpies! 🙌

INTO THE NEXT ROUND! 🏆🖤🤍

​A fantastic afternoon at the Wyatt Homes Stadium as the Magpies secured a hard-fought 2-0 victory over Bournemouth Poppies in the Women’s FA Cup! ⚽️🔥

​It was a tough, physical 90 minutes that demanded focus and discipline across the park. The deadlock was broken and the tie sealed thanks to clinical finishes from Scarlett Kirby (⚽️) and Gracie Batsford (⚽️), rewarding the squad's graft and sending us through! 🎯💪

​A huge thank you to Bournemouth Poppies Women FC for a competitive contest. We also want to share our sincere appreciation to so many of the Poppies players and supporters who stayed after the final whistle to join us for our post-match hospitality—a fantastic reflection of the grassroots spirit in the women’s game. 🤝🍻

CUP DAY AT NEW CUTHBURY! 🏆🖤🤍

The squad cannot wait to step out onto the Wyatt Homes Stadium pitch today for our second competitive fixture of the season, taking on Bournemouth Poppies in the Women’s FA Cup! ⚽️🔥

We look forward to welcoming a strong, highly competitive Poppies side to our home ground. We know they will provide a genuine test of everything we’ve worked hard to put in place across a demanding, intensive pre-season.

With a relentless schedule ahead, captain Millie Nieman has called on the entire squad to pull together, stay united, and set the standard as we head into our busiest week of football so far. 🗣️💪

All eyes are on this Sunday, 6th September, as we welcome Bournemouth Poppies to the Wyatt Homes Stadium for our next Women's FA Cup test! ⚽️🔥

The squad has trained well all week, bringing intensity and focus to each session. It’s also a boost to have key players returning from injury and making themselves available, giving the group even more depth heading into matchday. 💪🩹

Manager John Dover wants the side to make the most of the pitch and facilities at the Wyatt Homes Stadium by playing attractive, attacking football that keeps supporters coming back! 🏟️✨

Rhiannon is a tough-tackling and vocal member of our squad!😃⚽

Rhi will add strength, leadership, and depth to our midfield unit.

Despite arriving from Australia right in the middle of our pre-season preparations, Rhiannon has hit the ground running, already making appearances for the first team and demonstrating her quality and work rate on the pitch. 🇦🇺✈️💪

Having been a key figure for the side in its early inception, Rhiannon knows exactly what it means to pull on the Wimborne shirt. 🔙⚽️

We wrapped up our pre-season preparations with a challenging 5-1 defeat against a clinical Portchester side. Facing higher-league opposition provided a fantastic test and invaluable lessons for the squad as we build resilience and sharpen up for competitive action. We are very grateful for the fixture and wish Portchester the very best of luck in their upcoming league campaign! 🤝⚽️

Since joining us in pre-season following her return from playing in America, Caitlin Youles has made an instant impact in the heart of our defence. 🇺🇸✈️⚽️

Caitlin has consistently demonstrated physical strength, calm composure on the ball, and superb reliability, quickly establishing herself as a vital part of our talented squad.

She is just one of several exciting new additions to the Magpies this season, and the coaching team are particularly excited to see how this group can push on and build from the strong positives of last year.
