✨ What a truly wonderful day this was… ✨

We absolutely loved welcoming Niki and her gorgeous group of friends to Meadowview Stables & Petting for a hen do that was anything but ordinary. 🤍🌿

At the heart of the day was Niki’s blessing ceremony beneath the trees — and it really was something special.

One by one, her friends shared their words for Niki: memories, love, laughter, wishes for her future and those little stories that can only come from the people who know you best. There were funny moments, emotional ones and some incredibly heartfelt words. 🥹🤍

Each message became part of the ceremony, with ribbons tied to the tree to represent their friendship, love and wishes for everything still to come. 🌿✨

Niki was also given her own living tree to take home — something that can grow alongside this next chapter of her life and always hold a little piece of that day. 🤍

And, of course, it wouldn’t be Meadowview Stables & Petting without plenty of time with the animals, lots of laughter and just the right amount of chaos thrown in too. 😂🐴🐐

It was personal, meaningful, a little wild and completely unique.

A huge thank you to Niki, Chelsea and all the girls for allowing us to be part of such a special celebration. We absolutely loved having you here. 🤍

And now the countdown really is on… 🎃🖤

Last Halloween, I called it…

✨ The Spirit of the Land ✨

Meadowview was only just beginning then.

We filled the stables with pumpkins, lights and a little bit of Halloween magic… and somehow it felt like the land was becoming part of the story too. 🎃🍂

Then the seasons changed.
The pumpkins disappeared.
Winter came and went.
Spring followed.
And Meadowview grew.

And now, almost a year later…

they’re back. ✨

From the ground, completely unplanned, pumpkin vines have appeared.

They’ve spread across the land, flowered beneath the leaves… and tucked underneath them are tiny new pumpkins beginning to grow. 🎃

There’s something rather magical about that.

The same land that held our very first Halloween is quietly growing the beginning of our next one.

Maybe the Spirit of the Land never really left. 🍂✨

Maybe it was simply waiting for autumn to return.

And now… it’s waking up again.

🎃 The Spirit of the Land returns to Meadowview.

Sometimes we’re so busy living it, building it, fixing it, feeding it, mucking it out and moving onto the next thing… that we forget to actually stop and look back. 🤎

And what a summer this has been.

So much has changed. So much has grown. So many little moments that probably didn’t feel huge at the time… but looking back, they’ve become part of something pretty bloody special.

There have been animals, children, laughter, graft, chaos, sunshine, mud, breakthroughs, tired days, proud days and plenty of “how is this actually my life?” moments. 😂

Meadowview Stables and Petting has grown — and I think I have too.

Sometimes we really do need to stop, take a breath and look at how far we’ve come instead of constantly worrying about how far we still have to go.

I’m proud of this summer. I’m proud of what we’re building here.

And now?

Bring on muddy boots, crisp mornings, fluffy ponies, woolly hats and the next chapter. 🍂🐴🤎

Sometimes regulation doesn’t look like sitting still.

Sometimes it looks like muddy boots, hay in your hair, a horse breathing beside you and finally feeling like you don’t have to be anything other than yourself. 🤎

This is what Meadowview Stables is about.

Not pressure.
Not expectations.
Not fitting into somebody else’s box.

Just connection, responsibility, animals, fresh air and a safe place to breathe.

For some young people, the horses seem to understand without needing a single word.

And honestly… those are the moments that remind me exactly why I built this place.

Tap Sometimes the best advice comes from a donkey. 🫏🤎

Slow down.
Take the pressure off.
Breathe.
Stand in the sunshine for a minute.
And stop carrying things that were never yours to carry.

Billy has absolutely no interest in hustle culture, deadlines or unnecessary drama — and frankly, I think he’s onto something. 😂

Animals have this beautiful way of bringing you straight back to the moment.

No noise.
No overthinking.
Just here.

So if today feels a bit much…

“Won’t take me long.” 🤡

Yesterday’s glamorous little job…

MUCKING OUT. 😂

And somehow it just never ends.

One stable.
Then another.
Then a barrow.
Then another barrow.
Then you look up and realise half the day has disappeared.

This is the bit nobody really sees behind Meadowview Stables — the constant graft that keeps everything clean, safe and running properly for the animals and the young people who come here. 🐴❤️

No days off.
No magic fairy.
Just me, a fork, a wheelbarrow and questionable levels of determination 😂

Tommy completely switched off, peaceful and trusting — and me just sat there soaking it in.

People sometimes think horses are just animals you feed, muck out and work with.

They’re not.

They feel energy.
They notice everything.
They know when you’re calm, when you’re stressed, when you need grounding… and sometimes they give you exactly what you didn’t realise you needed.

Tommy and Brontë have taught me so much already, and moments like this remind me exactly why I built Meadowview.

This place was never meant to be “just a petting farm”.

It’s about connection.
Regulation.
Trust.
Belonging.

And apparently occasionally lying in a field having an emotional moment with a giant horse. 😂🐴
