My new website has finally gone live!

After rather a lot of tweaking, changing my mind, changing it back again and generally driving everyone involved slightly mad, it’s finally finished…

You can now find out a little more about me, what I do, and my private online and in-person Pilates & Yoga sessions.

I work with clients in the UK and internationally, so if you know someone who you think might benefit from working with me, I’d be so grateful if you could pass it on.

Link in bio.

And now I’m going to stop messing around with it before I decide to redesign the whole thing again 🫣

⬇️ I've shared the beginning of my thoughts in this video. If you'd like to read the rest, you'll find it below.

Does Pilates Ever Get Easier?

One of the questions I'm asked most often is:

"Does Pilates ever get easier?"

After almost four decades of personal practice and over a decade of teaching, my answer is always the same.

No. And that's exactly what keeps me coming back.

As your strength, control and understanding develop, you start to notice the smaller details. You move with greater precision, breathe more effectively and discover new ways to challenge your body. The more you practise, the more there is to explore.

Every day is different. Some days your body feels strong and everything flows. On other days, an exercise you've performed hundreds of times can suddenly feel surprisingly difficult. Rather than seeing that as a setback, I've learnt to see it as information. My body is simply telling me what it needs that day.

That's what Pilates has become for me.

It's never been about performing the perfect exercise or making everything look effortless. It's about understanding my body a little better each time I practise and working with it, rather than against it.

As we move through life, our bodies naturally change. Injury, illness, stress, menopause and the ageing process all influence how we move. One of the things I value most about Pilates is that it adapts alongside us.

Looking back, what I've gained from Pilates has gone far beyond strength and flexibility.

It's taught me patience, consistency and an appreciation that progress isn't always obvious. Sometimes it's found in the smallest changes. A movement that feels smoother, better balance or simply feeling more confident in my own body.

Perhaps that's why, after all these years, I still enjoy stepping onto the mat. There's always something new to notice, something to refine or something to learn.

And I hope there always will be.

✨ Has Pilates taught you something beyond exercise? I'd love to hear your thoughts in the comments.

Il dolce far niente. 🇮🇹

Last days in the Ionians. 💙
Sharing them with a friend who flew all the way from Texas made them even more special. Sun, paddleboards, hidden beaches, dolphin magic, and memories I'll treasure. Until next time. ⛵🐬
