Yes, we teach karate. Yes, we grade. Yes, some of our students compete. But some of my favourite achievements can’t be hung around someone’s neck.

Speaking up when they used to hide. Helping a new student. Walking into class without Mum or Dad. Trying again after getting something wrong. Making a friend.

Those wins matter too. 🖤

I wanted to say a huge thank you to our instructor team. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes at Shadow that isn’t always seen — planning classes, helping individual students, training, safeguarding, gradings, answering questions and constantly looking at how we can make classes better.

We’re a small team of people who genuinely care so much about the students, and we’re always learning and improving too.

And thank you to all of our parents who support us, encourage the children and work with us — it really does make such a difference. 🥋🖤
