What an incredibly proud night it was last night! ❤️⚽️

Our former Robin Park FC player Reece Leonard made his professional debut at just 16 years old, playing 45 minutes in the EFL Cup for Rochdale FC! 👏🏻🔥

To see Reece’s journey from grassroots football with Robin Park FC to the professional game is something that makes everyone at the club incredibly proud.

Moments like this are exactly why grassroots football matters. It’s about giving young players the opportunity to develop, believe in themselves and chase their dreams. 🌟

16 years old. Professional debut. EFL Cup. What an achievement! 🙌🏻

We are absolutely bursting with pride, Reece. Keep working hard, keep believing and enjoy every minute of the journey.

Here’s to many more appearances and many more amazing moments in the future! 👏🏻⚽️❤️

Congratulations Reece Leonard! 🔴⚫️⚪️

Legend of Wigan and a true ambassador

Wigan Athletic is deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sir Billy Boston.

A true sporting icon and proud advocate for everything our town stands for, Sir Billy leaves behind an extraordinary legacy both on and off the field.

Our thoughts are with his family, friends, all at Wigan Warriors and everyone who had the privilege of knowing him at this incredibly difficult time.

Rest in peace, Sir Billy. 💙
