Hindley under 14’s Blacks v Chorley Panthers.

Today we travelled away to Chorley with our return to the second half of the league. Weather not great, with it raining for the majority of the game.

A solid team performance and great to see the lads back playing. Controlled the game well in the middle and used the ball at the right times making it count. Pleasing to see a high work rate maintain all the way to the final whilst. Big thanks to Chorley who kept on turning up for each other right to the end.

👏🏉 CAN WE GET A MASSIVE ROUND OF APPLAUSE FOR TOM, NATHAN & TEDDY! 🏉👏

As parents, we all know how hard it can be looking after ONE child… so voluntarily agreeing to take on A WHOLE RUGBY TEAM deserves some kind of medal! 😂🏅

These three don’t just turn up on training and match days. There’s so much that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t always see — planning, organising, sorting things out, giving up their own time and somehow finding enough patience to keep a full team of little rugby stars heading in roughly the same direction! 😂🏉

Teddy, Tom & Nathan, you put so much time, effort and hard work into these kids, and it really doesn’t go unnoticed. ❤️

You’re helping them learn rugby, but also teaching them teamwork, confidence, determination and how to be part of a team — and that’s something pretty special.

So from all of us parents, THANK YOU! 👏❤️

🖤💛 U7s Sunday Rugby is BACK!! 💛🖤

Our U7s Blacks & Golds now train separately but continue to come together on Sunday matchdays, and honestly… what can we say about this little team that hasn’t already been said??

The attitude, effort and development we’re seeing from these kids is brilliant. Some of the progress over the last few months has been incredible to watch - confidence growing, skills improving and, most importantly, kids who are clearly loving their rugby.

Their coaches and parents couldn’t be prouder of them. They’re becoming a proper little team and it’s an absolute pleasure watching them grow 🖤💛

A big thank you to Thatto Heath and Newton Storm for coming over this morning. It was a pleasure to host you guys, and we hope you enjoyed your morning with us!

The u13's travelled over to Halton for a Friendly this morning.

The Stags started strongly and dominated the early exchanges scoring 3 converted tries in the first 20 minutes.

Unfortunately after 20 minutes the game was abandoned due to an injury to a Halton player.

All at the Stags u13's wish the young man a speedy recovery. 🖤💛

Westhoughton Lions 12

Our Stags were back on the pitches today after a long 11-week mid-season break — and what a way to return!

Both teams came out firing from the opening whistle, with some big hits flying in during the first few sets. Westhoughton looked like a completely different side to the team we faced earlier in the season, and it was clear from the start that our Stags were in for a tough afternoon.

The first half was an evenly matched contest, with both teams showing plenty of determination in attack and defence. Hindley eventually got the first points on the board after forcing a repeat set close to the Westhoughton line and making the pressure count.

As we reached the midway point of the first half, the weather turned against us, and handling errors started to creep into the game from both sides. Despite the conditions, the lads battled hard and went into the half-time break with the scores locked at 6–6.

The coaches challenged the team at half-time to get back to basics — complete our sets, hold onto the ball and take the attack back to Westhoughton.

The second half was another gruelling 25 minutes, with neither side willing to give an inch. Both teams managed to cross the whitewash, setting up a tense finish with the scores tied at 12–12 with just five minutes remaining.

Hindley kept the pressure on and, with the final play of the game, managed to get over in the corner to seal a hard-fought 18–12 victory!

The lads really ground this one out today against a much-improved Westhoughton side and should be extremely proud of their efforts. After an 11-week layoff, and with different personnel unavailable at training, the team showed tremendous determination, resilience and togetherness to get the job done.

There’s plenty for us to work on in training this week, but today was all about getting back out there, competing hard and getting the win — and the Stags did exactly that. 🦌💪
