Wigan Town Juniors Raiders
Tournament Round‑Up
📍Cadishead JFC 💙⚫️

The Raiders were back in action this weekend at Cadishead JFC, taking on a series of short 8 minute games that didn’t always suit their usual style, but the lads still put in a strong shift and showed great teamwork throughout the day. 💪⚽️

One of the biggest positives was that every outfield player scored, a brilliant achievement for the group.
🔥 Joshua smashed in 5
💥 Zachary added 4
⚡ Casey grabbed 2
🔵 Logan and ⚫️ Frankie both scored 1

A huge shout out to Elliott, who was outstanding in goal all day. He pulled off some brilliant saves and kept the Raiders in games at key moments. 🧤💙✨

The boys battled their way into the quarter finals, where they faced a strong Ashton Park side. It was a tight game with very little between the teams, but the Raiders bowed out after a narrow loss. The lads were disappointed, which shows how much they care, but they can be proud of their performances across the whole tournament. 👏⚽️

To round off the day, the team were presented with medals for their participation 🏅💙 and even got the chance to celebrate with the World Cup trophy, a brilliant moment and a memory they’ll take with them. 🌍🏆🔥

Plenty of positives, plenty of goals, and plenty to build on, with the Raiders representing the club brilliantly. 💙⚫️

Heartbreak for the Sharks in this mornings tournament narrowly losing in the final in a game we could have won.
Only conceded 1 goal all tournament while scoring plenty ourselves.
Fantastic effort from them all and even tho there was a few tears at the end they should all be so proud of themselves because I know I am. Massive improvement from the whole team over the course of the season.

What a fantastic day for our Under 8s Wolves at their very first tournament! 🏆⚽

The team showed incredible effort, teamwork and determination throughout the day, finishing as runners-up after some brilliant performances. Most importantly, the players had fun, made memories and represented the club brilliantly.

A huge well done to every player and thank you to all the parents and supporters for their encouragement throughout the day. The future looks bright! 💙⚽🥈
