MEMBER OF THE MONTH — LOUISE! 🏆

This month we’re celebrating someone who has really stepped up and shown what commitment, consistency and believing in yourself can achieve.
Louise has increased her training to three runs a week, pushed herself out of her comfort zone and is now even embracing those rainy runs!

And it’s showing. She’s looking stronger, fitter and more confident with every run, and it’s been brilliant to watch her progress. 👏
With the Wigan 10K and Great North Run on the horizon, all those miles, all that effort and all those moments when she’s pushed through are going to count.

We genuinely believe Louise is ready to smash some PBs at GNR — and we’ll be cheering her on every step of the way 🙌
Louise, all your hard work is taking you somewhere amazing.

The Sunday crew enjoyed a lovely run this morning in the sunshine. A few miles, plenty of smiles and the perfect way to start the day. Followed by a well-earned coffee at the Cotton Works.

This Saturday is the last week, so it’s time to get those final points in 👀 let’s finish the league with a bang 💥

And of course, amongst all the races, training, fundraising and Parkrun competition, there’s still what RPR does best…
Running together, supporting each other and having a good laugh along the way. 🖤💛

THURSDAY RUN UPDATE ☀️ We hate to say it… but Thursday’s run is CANCELLED!

Safety is always our priority, and with temperatures still too high, it’s important that we don’t put our runners or volunteers at unnecessary risk. Running in extreme heat can place extra strain on the body and increase the risk of dehydration and heat-related illness.

We know it’s disappointing, but sometimes the sensible decision is to sit one out. Stay cool and keep hydrated! we’ll see you soon!

Tuesday’s run
It was a warm one! 🥵 but that didn’t stop the RPR crew getting out and getting the miles in.

Happy 1st Run Leader Anniversary, Paul!
For the past year, Paul has given up his own time to support the club and our runners — from plotting routes and planning runs, to leading sessions.
There’s a lot that goes on behind the scenes that people don’t always see, and it’s all made possible by our Run Leaders who volunteer their time and give so much to RPR. 💛
So a huge THANK YOU, PAUL, for everything you do and for the time, effort and enthusiasm you put into the club 💛🖤

We really are lucky at RPR to have the canal and some beautiful scenic routes right on our doorstep.
There’s nothing quite like getting out, going for a run and enjoying the views with good company. Well done everyone 👏
