It was a great game to watch tonight as a neutral, both sides scoring some good goals and good minutes being spread across all 19 lads pulling on the Pemberton shirt.

A big shout out to the 5 open age lads who came in to bolster the team, they brought good experience to the lads and it’s a huge positive seeing the club in this environment.

Some top performances all across the pitch from our lads, they should be really proud of the fight they put up against a title contending U21 side 🙌

Couldn’t be any prouder of the boys tonight.

FT: AFC Botanical 2-1 Pemberton

Another pre season run out for the boys in today’s game, we struck first with some neat play finished off by Elliot.. two mistakes then led to them scoring their 2 of the game, which was a bit disappointing for the boys.

All in all, plenty of positives to take with no keeper and a few key players missing.. it was great to see another three Pemberton Youth Players stepping up for the first team 💫

Well done to both David Allen & Kenzie Ashcroft on their debuts!

But a big congratulations to our man of the match, 16 year old, Archie Brennan! A great display full of energy and Archie really has no fear when he’s on his game, it’s a great moment for the club seeing our young players shining

FT: Pemberton Youth 1-1 Wigan Junior Latics

It’s a draw in our fourth pre season outing against local side Wigan, the boys had all the fight today and it was a well contested 90 minutes.. with us only really showing our quality in the last 20.

We recover now and head into another tough battle next week, we must keep working hard and building towards next campaign 👊
