A post has arisen for a CRANE/PLANT OPERATOR/ HGV DRIVER to join our team on a full time basis.

Duties include:
• Driving and operating various types of cranes, plant, forklifts, telehandlers and MEWPS in accordance with the received training and manufacturer’s instructions.
• Driving artic and rigid vehicles - load, secure and move heavy and abnormal loads in accordance with the Highway Code, Road traffic Act and EU driver’s hours rules.
• Carrying out other duties as part of lifting operations team that may be assigned by the Appointed person / Line manager.

Good understanding of regulations and procedures associated with plant operations, work in heavy haulage/ ballast operations would be beneficial but not essential for this position. We expect you to have competency in operating the most common types of mobile construction plant and desire to gain a CSCS plant operator card for the relevant category. For HGV operations the applicant must have a full UK driving licence with C+E category. Slinger/ Signaller and the ability to operate additional categories of construction plant would be beneficial, however training and opportunity to upskill will be given where required. A sincere care for health and safety towards yourself and others is essential for this position.

Applicants must have physical strength and fitness to carry out tasks involving manual handling, working at heights, driving HGV, operating crane and plant.

Please note- the applicant may need to work also on sites out with the county on occasions- ability to travel and work flexible hours including additional hours/ shifts, some weekends is essential for this post.

We are looking for a PETROL STATION ASSISTANT to join the team in our Francis Street Filling station in Wick.

This post is full time, worked in a shift pattern. Operating hours are from Monday to Saturday – 7:00am – 8:00pm and Sunday – 9:00am – 7:00pm including Bank Holidays. Shift pattern to be advised.

PLEASE NOTE YOU MUST BE OVER 18 TO APPLY FOR THIS ROLE.

Duties will include:
• Watching and monitoring the store and forecourt ensuring customers have a great experience.
• Authorising fuel pumps, serving customers and being responsible for cash handing / card payments.
• Assisting with stock control and management within the store including accepting and checking new deliveries, re-stocking shelves, rotating stock, date checking and ensuring the store is fully stocked at all times.
• Providing general advice and guidance to customers on shop products, services and offers.
• General cleaning and housekeeping within the store.
• Awareness of security in the store including looking out for shoplifters, fraudulent money and fraudulent bank cards.

We expect you to be:
• Able to give great customer service, have a positive attitude and professional demeanour, a friendly and engaging personality.
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts including early starts and late finishes, be reliable and good timekeeper.
• Comfortable working independently under your own initiative as well as being part of the existing team.
• Willing to work hard to respond to busy periods, provide support and cover for holidays and sickness when required.

Experience in retail is desirable, but not essential as initial training and continuous support in using specific programmes and software will be provided.
