Time flies when you are having fun, today was the end of our latest 8 week block of Tuesday and Friday classes, the next one takes us up to the end of 2025!!
There is still time to sign up for our new Tuesday class starting next week from 11:15-12:15 at the Parish Social Centre in Tankerton. If you, or anyone you know might be keen, please do get in touch to come and give us a try

It is also an immense pleasure to support the residents at Miramar Care Home - Avery Healthcare with their strength, balance and coordination too. We have be having fun and making great progress since starting our Tuesday sessions in January.

It's so wonderful to see the response from family members when they visit and see how well their loved ones are doing, especially when they take on the challenge of our balance circuit!

Thank you to Abbie and Heidi for their support and encouraging the residents to join in the activities.

It has been an absolute pleasure to deliver these sessions that started back in September at Harrier Lodge care home. The enthusiasm for the activities is fantastic and the progress the residents have made makes it so rewarding. Thanks to Emily for the opportunity and Ella for the brilliant support every session. Wow, what a year… 12 months ago I had handed in my notice after 14 years and took a part time job to create the space for this Movement & More journey.

Reflecting on 2024, I am delighted to say there were:
• 87 sessions of Active Body, Active Mind community classes
• 3 months in Harrier Lodge care home
• 2 talks to share the story and demonstrate the activities thanks to the Whitstable WI and Whitstable Polymyalgia & Giant Cell Arteritis group
• 1 Sport and Physical Activity landscape session for A. Level students

It hasn’t been without challenges, but I am so glad I trusted in the magic of new beginnings and am incredibly grateful to all of you for investing in this with me.

Whether you attended a class, encouraged someone else to do so, invited me to talk to your group or simply supported with a like, comment or share… THANK YOU! 🙏

I would like to wish you all a Happy Christmas and can’t wait for 2025!

It's been such a pleasure to take the Active Body, Active Mind ideas into Harrier Lodge care home. Hearing "I'm not sure I can do that" followed by "I did it" and seeing a great big smile when they realise they can is incredibly rewarding. Looking forward to progressing the strength, balance and coordination activities with these wonderful residents in the New Year. Thank you for saying yes and giving it a go!😀
