***GET INVOLVED***
We hope everyone is enjoying the fine weather we have been having recently! ☀️ We’d like to share some details of upcoming events we’d like you to get involved in.
ROYAL SHOW 🐄
We’ve had a good take up of people offering to volunteer with gates and parking at the Royal Show on the 7-8th August - but could always do with more. Our volunteers range from players, former players, Committee members, parents of our juniors, supporters and some we just ask in the street! If you feel you can help, even for a couple of hours at peak times, please get in touch.
PILATES WORLD RECORD 🧘♀️
Given our past experience of successfully managing the parking at Knockaloe, we’ve been asked if we can support the organisers of the Pilates world record attempt next Sunday (19th) with organising their car parking. This would be from 9-2pm and again, even an hour or so of your time would be appreciated. We are looking to open this up to the wider rugby fraternity to ensure we have sufficient numbers. Again, get in touch!
LONGBOAT DAY 🚣
This is always a fun day out, and we still have spaces available in the boat to row on Saturday. No experience necessary, just enthusiasm! Thanks to those who’ve already agreed to help.
As you can see, there’s plenty on in the next few weeks, and we’ll be sharing details of how we can celebrate your contributions in the next week or so.
If you can help with any of the events above, get in touch! ⚫️⚪️🏉

Looking to get involved with a great bunch of guys and gals? 🤝
Needing to hone your rugby skills before pre-season starts in earnest? 💪
The Manx RFU’s Summer Touch series is now upon us. No experience necessary, everyone who turns up will get game time.
Feel free to come to Nomads tomorrow (6:15pm meet, 6:30pm start) and get involved! ⚫️⚪️🏉

Congratulations to Neil for being recognised by Cheshire RFU as one of their top volunteers this season! Well deserved, and well done to all the winners 🏉
Congratulations to Neil Cowley, former winger and scrum half, and current twenty-year committee member, pictured here being recognised by as one of the invaluable volunteers that our sport depends on. Neil also serves our friends as their Youth Development Officer and as rep to the MEC. It is easy to forget that this level of contribution to our community isn’t really the norm, and that Neil puts in so much on top of his professional and personal responsibilities fully deserves honouring.

***ROYAL SHOW - HELP REQUIRED***
We are delighted once again to be working with our friends at the with staffing the ticket gates 🎟️ and helping visitors park their cars on the surrounding fields 🚘
To do this effectively, we need your help. If you can spare some time to assist us with either of these roles on either Friday 7th and / or Saturday 8th August, it would be greatly appreciated 🙏
Working the Show not only provides the Club with crucial financial income, which goes towards improving our facilities and experiences for our players across all groups, it helps promote the Club within the community 💖
Anna-Lena has already been in touch with some people regarding their availability, if anyone else feels they’d be able to help 🙋♂️🙋♀️ please drop us a DM or contact Lianne Venables or Chris Horton to be added to the list - even an hour or so to offer one of the ones who’s been there since 7:30am a chance of a break would be awesome 🤝
We will be running a thank you event the week after the Show for everyone who helps us out! Thank you again for your support 🖤🤍🏉

***JUNIORS UPDATE***
Our Juniors had a busy but exciting end to the season!
Our u13s Ramsey / Vikings combined team went across to the North West of England and played some good, competitive rugby, getting a couple of wins along the way - well done all!
🔴⚪️🏉🤝🏉⚫️⚪️
Last weekend saw our Tag Rugby players get involved in the Manx Youth Games, held at Douglas RUFC - thanks to the RDO for organising the day, and to everyone who helped out. 💙
On Bank Holiday Monday, we held our end of season Junior Awards Presentation - well done to everyone who’s been involved in the juniors this season (parents, players and coaches) 👏 and congratulations to those who won awards 🏆
We’ll be posting updates 🔜 of summer activities that the juniors can get involved in (alongside the more senior members of the Club) - stay tuned!

***NEW COMMITTEE***
Thank you very much to everyone who turned up and contributed to our recent Annual General Meeting. It was very productive, and some great discussions were had regarding the future of the Club.
Our Committee for 2026-27 is detailed below. We will focus on each one over the close season, so you know a little more about them, and what their role entails.
We would like to thank all those who stepped down from the Committee, some after many years of dedicated service. We appreciate everything you’ve done for the Club.
We’ll be promoting our summer activities very shortly, so stay involved! ⚫️⚪️🏉

Happy Cup Final Day! Best of luck to all teams, and great to see the junior sides getting some representation on the Island’s showpiece event 🏆
Thanks to the sponsors Hartford Homes for their support of all clubs during the season 👏
Hope everyone enjoys the day 🇮🇲🏉🇮🇲
🏉 Hartford Homes Manx Cup Final Day – This Saturday
Join us at Port-e-Chee as the island’s rugby community comes together to celebrate Manx rugby across junior and senior competitions.
⏰ 10:30 – U13: Douglas v Southern Nomads
Nomads have only beaten Douglas once this season in the Cheshire competition, so this is a well-matched contest. With quality players on both sides, it’s one to keep an eye on.
⏰ 11:00 – U16: Ramsey v Southern Nomads
A fixture that should bring plenty of physicality and pace, showcasing the strength of youth rugby on the island before they push on to senior rugby.
⏰ 13:00 – Senior Plate Final: Ramsey v Vagabonds
The third meeting between the sides this season, following a draw at the Mooragh and a win for Vagabonds at Ballafletcher—setting things up nicely for a closely contested final.
⏰ 15:00 – Senior Cup Final: Douglas Celts v Southern Nomads
Two familiar rivals this season, with Nomads reaching their first Manx Cup Final. A fitting way to round off the day and a reflection of the strength of local competition.
A day that highlights not just the finals, but the players, volunteers, and clubs that make Manx rugby what it is.
🙏 Thank you to Hartford Homes for their support of the competitions throughout the season.
Get down and support all the teams in what is a true celebration of Manx rugby.

We’ve had a great time on our combined tour with Castletown RUFC, travelling up to Newcastle yesterday and playing a T1 Tag game against Rockcliff Rugby Club this afternoon.
Plenty of tries were scored, and we’ve enjoyed watching their first XV take on league champions barnardcastlerufc after the match, whilst enjoying their hospitality.
Great to see the clubs working together, and the badge on show ⚫️⚪️🔵🟡 🇮🇲🏉
