Rockcliff Roses Womens Rugby

🌹ROCKCLIFF ROSES ARE RECRUITING!🌹

This season we will have 2 teams, one playing NC2, and an Inner Warrior team. We welcome all abilities, 18+, whether you are currently playing and fancy a change, looking for a team whilst at Uni, used to play or have never picked up a rugby ball, you are welcome to come along and experience the Rockcliff atmosphere. Rugby is for all, no matter your shape, size, age, fitness level, we are a team and here at Rockcliff you are welcome.

We train every Wednesday & Friday 7-8.30pm @ Whitley Bay Rockcliff Rugby Club, Lovaine Avenue, Whitley Bay NE25 8RW.

We have all the usual perks, gym, AGP pitch, student rates, physio, clubhouse..... but the best bit is the the team and the friends you'll make here at Rockcliff.

🌹Leadership announced for the 2026/27 season🌹

We are delighted to announce that Caitlin McVeigh will continue to lead the Roses as Captain, with Adelle Telford appointed as Vice Captain.

Both players embody the commitment, standards and passion that define Whitley Bay Rockcliff Roses RFC, and we look forward to seeing them lead the squad this season when we take on NC2.

Pre-Season got underway last night with a great turnout in the rain. Everyone enjoyed it, plenty of laughs and smiles on faces. If you fancy joining us tomorrow, you are very welcome.

🌹ROCKCLIFF ROSES PRE-SEASON - 1 DAY TO GO!🌹

Pre-season starts 7.30pm Tomorrow (Wednesday 1st July 2026). Our Clubhouse will be showing the England World Cup Match @ 5pm, some of our Roses will be there watching and then joining Pre-season training afterwards.

This season we will have 2 teams, one playing NC2, and an Inner Warrior team. We welcome all abilities, whether you are currently playing, used to play or have never picked up a rugby ball, you are welcome to come along and experience the Rockcliff atmosphere.

🚇🚶‍♀️‍➡️Within walking distance of Whitley Bay and Monkseaton Metro station and has good bus links.

Please DM us with any questions you may have and we'll be in touch or just turn up on the 1st July 2026 at 7.30pm. All you need is a pair of boots but don't worry if you don't have any, let us know and we'll find you a pair to try for a session first.
