ENGLISH SCHOOLS!
Massive congratulations to the 13 NSP athletes who represented Northumberland at English Schools in Birmingham, where they competed against the best in England. It was a fantastic experience for all involved and all did themselves, family, friends, coaches and club proud. They have all worked so hard for this, so to see all of it rewarded by being at English Schools is amazing and a testament to themselves. Well Done all!
• Alexa Hastie (300m) - 19th & Debut. Making her Debut at English Schools after working so hard to get here. She ran a storming first 250m and gave it absolutely everything to Finish 19th Overall. A fantastic debut, and it's only the start of her English Schools. Massive Well Done, Alexa!
• Alice Scambler (Javelin) - 8th & Debut. Making her Debut at English Schools, as our only field eventer. She secured a Top 8 finish in the Javelin with a great set of throws. Massive Well Done, Alice!
• Arran Head (400m) - 7th & 3rd Appearance. Returning to English for his 3rd and final time. He matched his performance from last year by making it into the 400m final, where he placed 7th. A fantastic 3 years representing Northumberland. Massive Well Done, Arran!
• Charlie Furness (800m) - 31st & Debut. Making his English Debut and he knew he had to give it absolutely everything in order to try and progress. Unfortunately, it wasn't enough to get him through, but it was fantastic to see him make his debut. Massive Well Done, Charlie!
• Daniel Watson (1500m) - 4th & 3rd Appearance. Making his 3rd and final appearance at English Schools and this was his best finish. He was so unfortunate to miss out on the Bronze by 0.03s as he had to hurdle a fallen athlete metres away from the finish line, but still an amazing performance. Massive Well Done, Daniel!
• Edward Watson (1500m) - 27th & Debut. Making his English Schools debut and ran very well in a tough 1500m heat, which resulted in a 27th place finish. A fantastic debut for him, as well as plenty of experience gained for the future. Massive Well Done, Edward!
• Evie Nesbit (100m) - 13th, PB, CR & Debut. Making her English Schools debut and performed well above expectations. Ran a big PB in the Heats to qualify for the semi, where she PBd again with 12.17s, which gave her a Club Record and a 13th place finish. Massive Well Done, Evie!
• Haden O'Hara (200m) - 4th, PB & Debut. Making his English Schools debut and ran a PB to qualify for the final, where he ran another Sub 23s to Finish 4th. Massive Well Done, Haden!
• Noah Penfold (1500m) 36th & Debut. Making his English Schools debut at the youngest age possible, he performed his best in a tough 1500m to finish 36th Overall. A fantastic debut for him, as well as plenty of experience gained and getting to wave the Northumberland sign with pride! Massive Well Done, Noah!
• Phoenix Hayton-Rowell (1500m) - 16th, PB & Debut. Making his English Schools debut and was in the fastest 1500m heat, where he ran a PB and showed he belonged there. Massive Well Done, Phoenix!
• Ronan Douglass (400m) - 6th & 2nd Appearance. Returning to English Schools for his 2nd time. This time he made the final again, but he bettered his performance by finishing 6th, just 0.18s off the podium. Massive Well Done, Ronan!
•🥈Theo Dixon (100m) - 2nd, PB, CR & Debut🥈 Making his English Schools debut and a ran a PB and Club Record of 11.07s to achieve the Silver Medal. What a debut. Massive Well Done, Theo!
• Zac Brannon (800m) - 16th & 2nd Appearance. Returning to English Schools for his 2nd time in the 800m. It was an extremely tough qualification in a high quality field. He gave it everything in his heat, but just missed out on getting to the final. A great 2 years for him at English Schools. Massive Well Done, Zac!

13 at ENGLISH SCHOOLS!
Massive congratulations and Good Luck to the club record number of 13 NSP athletes who have been selected to represent Northumberland at English Schools on the 10th and 11th July in Birmingham, where they will compete against the best in England. This is a fantastic achievement, especially considering the strength of the Northumberland Team this year and a sign of all their hardwork. We are delighted and super excited for all of you!!!

A special mention also goes to Ada Penfold (1500m), and Eli Adams (HJ), who both achieved their Entry Standard this season, which adds up to 15 at the Club. Unfortunately, Ada is too young for English Schools, and Eli will be representing GB at the European U18 Championships instead!
The club has 13 out of the 32 athletes representing the Northumberland team at English Schools, which is a record number for the club and a testament to all the hard work and commitment from the Athletes, as well as their Coaches and their Parents.

NATIONALS
Across the weekend, we had 4 Athletes competing at the U20 and Senior National Championships in Bedford against the best in the Nation after gaining Entry Standard during the Outdoor Season.
They all performed incredibly well, and all made sure to represent NSP in the best possible way. Congratulations to all!
• Alice Barnsdale - Hammer. Outdoing her performance from last year, she threw a massive 58.78m to claim the Silver Medal at Nationals in the Hammer! Massive Well Done, Alice!🥈
• Arran Head - 400m. Put everything into his 400m heat in tricky and windy conditions, but just missed out on making the 400m semis. Massive Well Done, Arran!
• Daniel Watson - 1500m. Put everything into a tactical race, where he finished in a fantastic 8th place in the final at Nationals! Massive Well Done, Dan!
• James Wordsworth - Discus. He threw 3xPBs with his best being a massive 50.61m in the Discus, which earned him a 7th place finish at Nationals! Massive Well Done, James!

Regional Schools Combined Events - 2 Athletes covering 10 Events
Well Done to the 2 NSP athletes who represented Northumberland at Regional Schools Combined Events this weekend in Shildon. Covering 5 Events on Sunday.
What a fantastic day to represent Northumberland across multiple events in a physical and mental test, especially in very hot conditions. They all did extremely well! Congratulations to everyone!
Pentathlon - 800m, 75mH/80mH, HJ, LJ, & Shot
• Eliza Brown - 8th with 2365pts (4xPBs). Had a strong day to Finish Top 1st year with 4 PBs in 75mH, LJ, Shot, and Pentathlon
• Izzie Johnson - 15th with 1314pts. Izzie achieved a PB in the Hurdles, but picked up a slight hamstring injury on the last Hurdle. She courageously carried on to ensure she could get as many points as she could to help Team Northumberland.
Team Northumberland finished 3rd as a Junior Girls team! 🥉

GREAT BRITAIN🇬🇧
Massive Congratulations to, Eli Adams, who has been selected to represent Great Britain at the European Athletics U18 Championships, which will take place in Rieti, Italy from the 16th–19th July.
This is absolutely fantastic to see and is a reward for all his hardwork, alongside all his family, and Coach, Bruce Robertson.
We wish Eli the best of luck and look forward to seeing him at the Championships!

NORTHERNS
Well Done to the 10 NSP athletes who competed at the U14 & U16 Northern Outdoor Championships this weekend in Leigh against the best athletes in the North.
It was really a fantastic weekend and they all performed very well in very tough and windy conditions whilst all enjoying it, all gaining valuable experience, PBs, Semis, Finals and Medals!
• Ada Penfold - 1500m. Ran a fantastic race to claim the Silver Medal as well as a PB and Club Record🥈
• Alice Scambler - Javelin. Making her Northerns Debut and finishing in 6th place in tricky headwin conditions.
• Elena Reed - Discus & Shot. Making her Northerns Debut with Double PBs. Throwing a PB in Discus to Finish 6th and throwing a PB in Shot to Finish 15th.
• Emily Maguire - 200m & LJ. Into a strong headwind, she performed well to Finish 21st in the 200m and achieve a Top 8 in LJ.
• Ethan Hughes - 1500m. Making his Northerns Debut and putting in a good performance against strong athletes to Finish 30th.
• Haden O'Hara - 100m & 300m. Into strong headwinds, he ran close to a SB in the 300m to Finish 10th and made the 100m Final to finish 6th.
• Holly Zellas - 100m & 200m. Into strong headwinds, she performed well to make the semi in the 100m with a 24th finish and just missed out the Semis in the 200m with a 17th finish.
• Jacob Richardson - 100m & 300mH. Just missing out on a SB in the 100m to Finish 24th, but nailed his 300mH by taking nearly 4 seconds off his PB and Club Record to achieve a Bronze Medal🥉
• Lauryn Walton - 200m & 300mH. Into strong headwinds, she ran well to make the semi and finish 11th. She ran a PB in the 300mH and just missed out on the Medals with 4th.
• Theo Dixon - 100m, 200m & TJ. Headwinds all weekend for Theo, but he still made the final in both the 100m and 200m, where he finished 4th in both. His medal came in the TJ with a SB to claim the Silver Medal🥈

BRITISH CHAMPS 🇬🇧
A massive Well Done and Congratulations to Alice Barnsdale, who competed at the British Championships in the Women's Hammer yesterday.
Alice threw just shy of a Seasons Best with 59.17m to finish in a fantastic 7th position!
Let's hope we see Alice and many more athletes wearing the NSP vest in the future Championships.

Schools Inter Counties
Well Done to the 29 athletes who all competed for Northumberland at the Northern Inter Counties on Saturday after qualifying from Northumberland Schools last week. The Top 2 athletes from Cleveland, Cumbria, Durham, Northumberland and North Yorkshire all competed against each other on the day!
It was fantastic to see 29 Club Members representing Northumberland and wearing the vest with pride!
