Yet again! Dog 💩 all over the Pit Pitch this time. Our youth were training on there and it was full of dog s**t! Dogs should not be on the pitch let alone allowed to 💩 on it! Be responsible dog owners and protect our children and open age players health please!

‼️⚠️DOG FOULING ON OUR PITCHES – THIS HAS TO STOP ⚠️‼️

We are extremely disappointed to say that dog fouling has once again been found on the Welfare pitch at Kells ARLFC.

The worst part? It was only discovered during training tonight. Our players, coaches and volunteers were already out on the pitch before it was noticed.

This is completely unacceptable.

Our pitches are used every day by children, youth teams and open-age players. Dog mess on a sports pitch is not just unpleasant, it poses a serious health risk to our players and volunteers.

We are asking everyone in the local community: PLEASE KEEP DOGS OFF THE PITCHES AND SURROUNDING PLAYING AREAS. If you bring your dog to the grounds, clean up after it and dispose of the waste responsibly.

This is our club. This is our community. Please respect it.

We shouldn’t have to find dog mess while our players are getting ready to train or in the middle of training!

Congratulations to one of our coaches, youth and open age sponsors on 10 years of business. Every team needs a Seager on board and we are lucky to have him at Kells!

Ten years in business, there’s been ups and downs with COVID thrown in the middle but here we are, the company has grown and we are proud to have been able to give back to the community by sponsoring local football, rugby and cricket teams (plus the odd bare knuckle boxer), buying strips and training gear and player sponsorship, we have taken on work experience students and worked with amazing clients from all industries, it’s been hard work, all made possible by fantastic trainers and family support, here’s to the next 10 ❤️

Whitehaven Rugby League is excited to launch a new Talent Development Programme for 2027, in partnership with the RFL Lions’ Development Programme (LDP).

The programme is open to players from our Copeland community clubs:

🤎 Egremont
💙 Wath Brow
💛 Hensingham
🤎 Lowca
💙 Kells
💛 Distington
🤎Millom

Players in U12, U13, U14, U15 & U16 age groups can register their interest.

This is about MORE THAN RUGBY.

Players will have the opportunity to access:
🏉 Quality coaching & player development
🎓 Educational workshops & personal development
🎟️ Whitehaven RL season ticket
👕 Whitehaven RL kit as they progress
🏋️ Xtreme Fitness Gym access

The programme is designed to complement our community clubs, not compete with them. There will be no impact on regular club training or fixtures, players remain fully committed to their own clubs while accessing additional development opportunities through Whitehaven RL.

Sessions are planned throughout school holidays in February, Easter, May, July/August and October.

Open access - all playing experiences welcome
