There’s more to being a coach… 😂

01/10/2026

Yesterday we got the Urban Team together for our latest Quarterly Meeting! 🙌

Unfortunately Jess couldn’t make this one, and Cheneice joined us via video call but it was a great meeting and the perfect way to head into the final quarter of the year! 🚀

We looked back at the last quarter and had some really productive conversations about:

📈 Our highs and what’s working well
🧠 Our lows and what we’ve learned
🎯 Areas we can improve
👏 Areas where we’re already succeeding
🔥 And our goals and focus heading into the final months of 2026!

Running Urban is a team effort, and meetings like these give us the opportunity to come together, share ideas and make sure we’re constantly looking at how we can make Urban even better for our members. 💛🥋

And of course… it wouldn’t be an Urban Quarterly Meeting without finishing things off properly…

🍕 PAPA JOHN’S! 😂🙌

Great conversations. Great team. Great pizza.

In Kickboxing, getting stuck is part of the process.

You must learn to stay calm, think, adapt and keep going, on the mats and beyond it 👊

🥊🏆 URBAN OPEN — WHAT A DAY! 🏆🥊

What an absolutely fantastic day we had at our Urban Open! 💛🖤

One of the best part of yesterday was seeing so many of our members stepping onto the competition mats and ring for the VERY FIRST TIME, getting their first taste of the competition side of kickboxing! 👏🔥

For some, it was competition number one.
For others, number two, three… or many more! 🥊

But regardless of experience, every single one of you stepped up, challenged yourselves and fought amazingly! 🙌

Competition takes courage. It means stepping outside your comfort zone, putting the skills you’ve learned in class to the test and being willing to challenge yourself in front of others. 💪

Win or lose, there’s always something to learn and something to be proud of. 💛

A MASSIVE well done to all of our Urban Gloucester & Forest of Dean members who competed. Seeing both locations come together, support one another and share the mats is exactly what the Urban Open is all about. 🖤💛

You should ALL be incredibly proud of yourselves! 👏🏆

Until the next one… 👀🥊🔥

ONE TEAM. ONE URBAN. 💛🖤

There’ll be plenty more to come from today’s competition… 👀📸

But this post isn’t about the results, medals or incredible bouts.

This one is for the team that helped make it all happen. 🙌💛

A HUGE thank you to all of our Urban Coaches and ITP members who gave up their time to help us run today’s Urban Open. From coaching and supporting our members to helping everything run smoothly behind the scenes, we simply couldn’t have done it without you! 👏🥋

Days like today remind us just how lucky we are to have such an amazing team behind Urban. 💛🖤

And after a full day of competition, there was only one way to finish it…

A well-earned cheeky Nando’s! 😂🍗🔥

Great competition. Great team. Great food. 😂

Thank you, Team Urban! 💛🖤

We couldn’t resist jumping on the 80s trend… and we may have taken it a little too far. 👀🤣

Big hair? ✅
Questionable fashion choices? ✅
Serious 80s poses? ✅

Your Urban coaches looking like they’re about to release their debut workout VHS? ABSOLUTELY. 😂🕺

So, if the Urban coaching team were around in the 80s, apparently THIS is what you’d be training with! 🥋🤣

Now comes the important question…

👇 Which Urban coach wins the 80s look?! 😂

Drop their name in the comments 🏆👀

💛🖤 Welcome to Urban… 80s edition! 📼⚡🕺

🥳 Happy Birthday Kyle!

🎂 May your day be filled with kicks, punches, and lots of cake! 🥋🎈

And it doesn’t happen overnight.

It starts with that first step onto the training mats. 🥋

From there, our coaches will be there to teach you, challenge you, encourage you and help you grow, both in martial arts and in yourself. 🙌
