We are away again this week with a trip to The Marsh to face a Rock side looking to kickstart their season!

The Rock boys will be hungry after a difficult start to the season. We will need to be on it come Sunday morning to make sure we get the result we need!

It's 3 points on the board this morning after a hard fought battle down the marsh!

The first half saw a pretty end to end game. Neither team able to break the deadlock. There were chances for sure, but no one was able to find the back of the net.

The 2nd half saw the game open up a bit, we started the stronger side but we're still unable to find an opener. Phoenix battled back and had a few chances. 15 minutes before the end we got a free kick in a good area, Reece Mowlam delivered a beautiful ball which Captain Scott Jordan got his head to before the keeper hitting the underside of the crossbar and going in. The last 10 we were still searching for more, to put the game to bed, that's when Archie Markwell put a lovely ball in behind for Alex Francis who's travella finish saw us end the game 2-0.

Brilliant game, which we had to work hard to get the 3 points from. Well played Phoenix, all the best for the season 🦡

Archie showed incredible fight and a tireless work rate in the middle on Sunday as well as getting the assist for our goal. It was a tough game, but it would've been even tougher without this man in the middle!

Not the start we were after. A rough first half saw us go in at the break 7-1 down. We were our own worst enemy after a lot of mistakes proved costly and were consistently punished by The Belvedere's quality.

2nd half we were better, but not good enough to undo the damage in the first. There's a reason The Belvedere are reigning champions and they showed it once again. Well played to them and best of luck for the rest of the season.

Lots to work on to right the wrongs going into the next game! 🦡

We are back in action for the opening game of the Weymouth Sunday League.

A tough start for the boys as we face last season's champions, but this season under the new name of Belvedere FC.

We have had a great preseason and the lads are well up for the challenge. Should be a great game!

Busy morning for the boys, too much to make a note of and admins memory is rubbish!

A few highlights, Tom Wildblood getting a hat-trick and turning into prime R9 for his 2nd. Reece Mowlam and Connor Mancini on fire 🔥Captain Scott Jordan in a 1v1 and hitting it straight at the keeper. Solid morning 👌

Well played to The Rock Rebels, after a few dropouts still played until the end and never stopped trying. All the best for your season lads!

🦡⚽MATCH RESULT⚽🦡

Phoenix started strong and found themselves an early lead. We had a good amount of chances but just couldn't find the back of the net. We did equalise through a well worked corner where Reece Mowlam found Jack Buckland in the box to put away a header. We didn't stay level too long though as the Phoenix boys broke on the counter to see them go in with the lead at half time.

We started the second half considerably better and after a couple of chances Reece Mowlam again found Jack Buckland who was happy to put away his 2nd of the game. We continued to control the game and after a good spell of possession Tommy Harris whipped one over the top for Reece Mowlam to run onto and tuck neatly into the bottom left. We weren't done there though after a surging run from Alex Francis saw him beat his man and square the ball to an eager Tom Wildblood who anticipated the play well and fired it home for his first goal for the Badgers!

A good team performance against a tough Phoenix opposition. Best of luck for the season ahead! 🦡
