There comes a point when you still want to go out, meet people, have a laugh and enjoy great music... you just don’t necessarily want to be shouting over a packed bar at 1am.

That’s where Ceroc comes in.

A proper night out, a brilliant social scene, loads of dancing and a room full of people who are there for exactly the same reason: to switch off, have fun and enjoy themselves.

You don’t need a partner. You don’t need any dance experience. And you definitely don’t need to be “a dancer”.

A little change to our Monday plans...

Unfortunately, West Monkton Village Hall will be unavailable to us on Monday 7th September. The hall has changed it’s scheduling for one week only, to accommodate an NHS blood donation day, meaning we won't be able to hold our usual Monday night class.

We've looked into alternative venues locally for the evening but unfortunately haven't been able to find anywhere suitable and available. We apologise for the short notice!

Therefore, sadly, there will be no Ceroc class on Monday 7th September. Please note this is for one night only, and class will resume as normal, the week after, on Monday 14th September. Please help us spread the word with dance friends who may otherwise miss the message!

But... just because we can't dance doesn't mean we have to miss seeing each other for the week! We're hoping to arrange something socially instead, so watch this space. Last night was such a lovely night at Taunton! 💃🏼✨

It was especially great to see a whole bunch of new dancers taking to the floor for the very first time. Thank you, as always, to everyone for making our new dancers feel so welcome, getting them involved and making sure they have a really good time. It genuinely makes such a difference ❤️ And a big thank you to Shelley for stepping up onto the stage with Jordan last night too, so Shannon could get down and dance in the class.

And then we had to say a rather sad farewell to our wonderful Cheryl, who is leaving the Ceroc Somerset team after 3½ years with us. Cheryl has been one of our taxi dancers, door people, all-round fab dancer and one of those people who has helped make so many new dancers’ first experiences at Ceroc a great one. We’re definitely going to miss having her on the team! She’s moving a little further afield to a new home and a new job, but thankfully we’ll still be seeing her around at freestyles and competitions. Thank you and good luck Cheryl! ❤️

One quick heads up for next Monday: Teacher and DJ Jordan is away, and we’re going to struggle to run the class without him and our sound equipment. We’re working hard to organise a workaround, but in the event that we have to close on Bank Holiday Monday we will update asap.
