Winscombe FC’s Mens First Team are looking sharp on matchdays this season following a new tracksuit sponsorship deal with local company We Are Self Storage.

The local business, run by Matt and Andy Ware, has stepped up to kit out Winscombe First Team. The backing comes as the company continues to expand across the region, adding a brand-new facility in Locking to its existing sites in Axbridge, Warne Road in Weston-super-Mare, Taunton, and Yeovil.

Winscombe FC Mens captain Seb Williams was quick to thank the brothers for getting behind the team, saying: "Huge thanks to Matt and Andy for their generosity and support this season. Local backing like this makes a massive difference to grassroots clubs like ours, and I'd challenge anyone in town to try and find a cheaper storage option than what these guys can offer."

Andy also commented “We’re very happy to support the community and local clubs, Winscombe FC is close to our hearts having both played for Winscombe from junior level through to adults. We wish the boys all the best for the season”

Following a successful weekend with our senior teams picking up 12 out of a possible 15 points, the U18s kick off their league season on Tuesday night at home to Mendip Broadwalk. On Saturday, the mens firsts and thirds are at home at Winscombe Rec looking to build on their wins on Saturday. The 2s are at home at Churchill Rec. On Sunday, the ladies head up to the hands stadium to take on Clevedon. The support across last weekend was fantastic and the teams would love to see your support once again this week

This Sunday looks to be a belter as wall to wall sunshine is forecast so what better than to come down to Winscombe Rec and support the vets and ladies who both play on the second pitch. The vets start their league campaign against the newly formed SWM vets with the ambition of making the end of season play offs. The ladies follow as they play their first ever league game against a youthful Portishead team. It promises to be a cracking day with both the THUT and Bar open

We think it’s the first time ever that the club has 5 senior league fixtures in a weekend.
On Saturday the firsts have the short trip to face Worle. Winscombe & Churchill kick off their season with the Firsts at home to Locking Park and the Reserves (Colts) away to Worle Rangers Reserves.
Sunday will see a double header on the same pitch with the vets facing SWM Vets and then the ladies playing Portishead Development. Should be a cracking day of football!
