The Westerham golf course encompasses established forestry, water features and stunning views across the North Downs, producing the impression of a course mature beyond it years. The 6,270 yards, par 72 course has been built to a very high standard, with USGA specification greens and irrigation installed on the greens, tees and approaches. With tree lined fairways, including the 'eye of the storm'

11th hole, good bunkering, and sandy sub-soil for excellent year round play, a pleasurable experience awaits all standards of golfer. The 9th and 18th, played downhill with spectacular finishes over water, provide a grandstand view from the magnificent purpose built clubhouse, opened in 1999. First class facilities including large spike bar, terrace, comfortable changing rooms and Pro Shop, plus an air-conditioned function suite/dining and bar area, specially designed for stylish entertainment. Westerham is part of the Altonwood Golf Group Flexible Membership Offer. The stunning Valence Suite is a light and spacious room with a large balcony and spectacular views over the lakes, fountains & course beyond. It has proved to be an extremely popular venue for a variety of functions, including weddings, civil ceremonies, engagement parties and birthday parties. This is due to the beautiful setting, impeccable customer service and excellent food. Our dedicated and experienced staff will be delighted to guide you through and help you plan every aspect of your event to the finest detail.

🌲 WOODLAND MANAGEMENT AT WESTERHAM

Our ongoing woodland management programme is helping Westerham Golf Club continue to evolve — creating a healthier, more open and visually impressive golf course.

Over the past five years, extensive work has helped uncover areas of pine woodland previously hidden amongst broadleaf trees and undergrowth.

The benefits can be seen right across the course:

🌲 Opening up new views across Westerham
⛳ Widening playing corridors for a fairer test of golf
☀️ Increasing natural light to playing surfaces
💨 Improving airflow to promote stronger, healthier turf
🌱 Enhancing the natural character of the course

The programme has been developed with specialist forestry consultant John Nicholson Associates, with the work carried out by Woodland Thinnings alongside our greenkeeping team.

It’s another important part of our long-term investment in Westerham — carefully improving the course while protecting and enhancing the landscape that makes it so special.

⛳ BUNKER INVESTMENT AT WESTERHAM

Our ongoing investment at Westerham Golf Club continues with a major programme of bunker improvements, designed to enhance the strategy, presentation and playability of the course.

Rather than simply maintaining bunkers that had become less effective, we’re reassessing their position, shape and purpose to ensure they add to both the challenge and character of each hole.

The programme includes:

⛳ EcoLiner for improved durability and consistent conditions
🌱 Ecoturf rivetted faces for clean, defined bunker edges
🏌️ China Clay ‘Augusta’ sand for a consistent playing surface and excellent drainage

Bunker renovations across nine holes have already been completed, with the remaining works scheduled for completion by the end of October 2026.

Another important step in our long-term commitment to continually improving the course and the golfing experience at Westerham. 💚

⛳ INVESTING IN THE FUTURE OF WESTERHAM

Westerham Golf Club is undergoing the most significant period of investment in its history, with a long-term commitment to creating a better course, improved playing conditions and an enhanced experience for every golfer.

Over the past five years, major improvements have included:

🌳 Extensive tree management
⛳ Bunker redevelopment
🏌️ Enlargement, levelling & rebuilding of 10 tees
🚶 More than four miles of resurfaced pathways
🎯 A 15-bay Toptracer driving range
💧 A new irrigation system

And there’s plenty more still to come.

With total investment soon to exceed £3 million, we’re continuing to develop Westerham for our members, visitors, societies, corporate guests and wellbeing days.

The progress is already showing — with Westerham named the No.1 most played course in England by iGolfers in 2025. 🏆
