We have had a good couple of sessions where we have worked hard let’s see how this transfers into our game tomorrow.

YOUR CHILD DOESN’T JUST NEED MORE DRILLS.

They need to understand the game.

At APFA FC, we use a football framework built around CDE-F and PMDS to help players develop their understanding f of football actions.

Can they:

• Play forward when the opportunity is there?
• Recognise when to accelerate or slow the game down?
• Understand their position in build-up, defence and transitions?
• Execute actions with the right speed?

We don’t expect every player to develop at the same rate.

That’s why we focus on individual development, coaching feedback and supporting players through their journey.

From our MINIS to our JPL teams, our aim is to help players become more intelligent, confident and capable footballers.

A steep learning curve for our U12s yesterday and we appreciate development football it takes time especially. With our football principles are CDE-F and PMDS. That means we must communicate, make decisions, execute our actions and understand our position, moment, direction and speed.

But the beauty of football is we go again next week.

Our U18s had a good day at the office well in the first half, wheeled seem to fall off in the second with the air going out of the game.

Players who want to become faster, stronger and more effective in the game.

And parents who want their child in an environment where development actually matters.

We are currently looking to recruit committed, development-focused players for our:

🟢U18 JPL
🟣U12 JPL

Our Saturday JPL teams provide an opportunity to compete at a high level while being surrounded by a coaching environment built around long-term player development.

We don’t believe development is about collecting drills.

It’s about helping players:

→ Understand the game
→ Make better decisions
→ Move more effectively
→ Become faster in football actions
→ Solve problems under pressure
→ Develop confidence and independence
→ Compete against strong opposition

The players who thrive here aren’t necessarily the ones who are already the best.

They’re the ones who are hungry to become better.

And spaces are limited.

If your son is currently playing at a good level but you’re asking:

“Is he actually developing?”

Or if your player is ambitious and wants an environment that will challenge him rather than simply accommodate him…

Another Game day for our U18s…

As the season fast approaches we continue to build and develop at every opportunity.

We see a lot of this age group thinking they already have the tools to go forward but with over 40 years experience we know this isn’t the case.

We continue to develop key attributes to help them succeed.
