🚲 Balance Biking is back this September!

Perfect for little ones aged 2–4, our Balance Biking course helps develop the fine and gross motor skills they need to build confidence on two wheels, no pedals required yet!

Over 3 x 30-minute sessions, we'll cover balancing, propelling, gliding, controlling and stopping, all on the mini-town right outside the Hub.

Not sure if it's for you yet? Try a single taster session first.

💷 £18 for the 3-week course, or £8 for a one-off taster
👨‍👩‍👧 Parent/carer must stay for every session
🪖 Helmets required, bring your own balance bike or hire one for £3
👨‍🏫 Led by our qualified National Standards cycle instructor

Thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for 'Pedal for Pizza'... great to see children who had learnt to ride recently joining in as well as Bikeability and regular Go Ride children.
We had lots of fun doing the outside activities... and when the heavy rain arrived we all came inside the Cycle Hub for a game of 'Bike O'...before ending the evening with pizza.

Today was the final day of all the summer holiday courses at Watford Cycle Hub. It's been busy, hot and sunny with just 1 day of rain.

Bikeability Level 3 starts next week 🚴

Riding on real roads, real traffic, real confidence.

Who it's for

For riders aged 11+ who've completed Level 2. Three days, small groups, tailored to each rider's needs.

What they'll learn

The best riding position for any road. Checking over their shoulder. Riding alongside other cyclists with confidence.

Busier roads, tricky junctions, multi-lane roundabouts, filtering past queuing traffic. Level 3 covers it all.

It's been really hot this week for the Learn to Ride courses... especially for the 11.15 group! 🥵. So an extra will done for keeping going.
Great to see children moving on through our courses from Balance Biking to Learn to Ride. Also recruited a few adults to our Absolute Beginner course which will start in September.
