Becoming the strongest, healthiest and most capable version of *YOU* does not mean keeping yourself as the smallest version of you.
A conversation I had with a client recently got me wanting to say a few words …
When you’re building muscle, your body is supposed to change.
Your old size might not fit in the same way. Your jeans might feel tighter in places, your measurements might increase and your weight might go up. Now i’m not saying this to scare you, I’m saying this to remind you that these aren’t things we need to be avoiding if it has come from muscle gain and is enabling us to be better, stronger and healthier.
These changes can feel uncomfortable when we’ve spent years believing that smaller = better … I get it.
But here’s your reminder:
You’re still feminine. You’re still you. Your body changing doesn’t change who you are.
Please don’t tie your worth to a number on the scale, or the way a piece of clothing fits.
Some of the numbers going up doesn’t automatically mean you’re going backwards. It could mean you’re fuelling your body, building muscle, getting stronger and becoming healthier.
You’re allowed to take up space.
You’re allowed to get stronger.
You’re allowed to let your body change.
Because the goal was never to be the smallest version of you.
It’s to be the strongest, healthiest version of you. 🤍
Muscles are a good thing, they show strength, patience, resilience, commitment and health. In a world where so much can be bought, be proud of what you’ve built and earned 💪🏼

Today I want to shine a spotlight on the incredible Ali. 👏❤️
Over the course of her journey, Ali has lost an amazing 19kg (42lbs), but what makes her achievement even more inspiring is everything she has accomplished beyond the scales.
With a highly demanding career, long working hours, and all of life’s challenges that inevitably arise, Ali has remained committed to herself and her health for years.
She recently had a second health check, and the results reflected just how much her commitment to improving her health — through better daily choices and consistent time spent in the gym — has been paying off.
💪 From previously being pre-diabetic, Ali has transformed some of her health markers:
✔️ HDL and triglycerides within normal ranges
✔️ Glucose and HbA1c readings optimal
✔️ Optimal blood pressure
✔️ A younger heart age
These are the kinds of changes that truly matter. The changes that improve quality of life, support long-term health, and create a stronger future.
As well as the changes to her health, I am incredibly proud of the relationship she is building with her body. It’s rooted in respect, self-care, and trust rather than punishment or restriction and that is something worth celebrating.
Ali, I hope you hold your head high and recognise just how far you’ve come. Your dedication, resilience, and willingness to keep working on yourself despite every obstacle is truly inspiring.
The weight loss is phenomenal, but the healthier, stronger, more confident woman you’re becoming is the real success story. ❤️
I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t looking forward to coaching you at silly o’clock three mornings a week. You’re a fantastic role model to so many women, and I’m incredibly grateful that you’ve trusted me to be part of your journey.
That said, don’t think any of the above gets you out of doing lunges!
See you at 7:30am — be ready 🤭

Dawn — roughly two months into working together, and already such a great example of what happens when you focus on doing things the right way.
When Dawn first came in, she was understandably conscious about her back after having surgery in the past. The priority was always making sure she felt confident, safe, and capable in the gym. With the right approach, we’ve been able to train effectively while building trust in what her body can do — and it’s amazing to hear that her back pain has reduced along the way.
One of the biggest changes has been her body composition. The scales haven’t really changed, but that was never the main goal. She’s built more muscle, reduced body fat, and you can see those changes in the small details — including her waist becoming noticeably smaller and her body shape changing in the process.
The biggest thing I’ve noticed, though, is her mindset. Dawn understands that real progress doesn’t come from quick fixes — it comes from building a sustainable routine, making small changes, and trusting that those small things add up over time.
She’s incredibly consistent, always willing to learn, and even when she gives me a bit of sass for putting her on the chin-up machine (usually followed by a reminder about her age when she decides it’s relevant), she still shows up and pushes herself outside of her comfort zone.
I’m genuinely excited to see where this journey takes her. This is only the beginning.
Well done Dawn 😁🙌🏼

Taking a moment to recognise and celebrate the incredible progress Naz and Steph have made so far. 👏
Between them, they’ve achieved an impressive 7kg of fat loss while also increasing their muscle mass ahead of their big day. 💪
What’s been most rewarding to see is how they’ve fully embraced the process—showing up consistently, putting the work in, and taking on board the advice and guidance given throughout their journey.
Results like these don’t happen by accident. They’re earned through commitment, effort, and a willingness to trust the process.
A huge well done to both of you for all the hard work over the past few weeks. Enjoy every moment of the celebrations ahead! 🎉
Looking forward to getting back to training afterwards and continuing to build for long-term health, fitness, and longevity. The journey doesn’t stop here. 🚀

Quick question… 🤔
When it’s already hot outside and you’re feeling warm before you even step into the gym, do you still need to warm up?
My answer is yes! Being warm and being warmed up aren’t the same thing. A proper warm-up gets your joints moving, activates the muscles you’re about to use, and prepares your body for exercise.
Set yourself up to be able to give it your best in the gym to make the most of your session, and reduce your risk of injury.
