⭐ What a way to finish another incredible year at Dance ARC! 💜

From our final classes and celebrating our Student Assistant Development Programme students, to performing in our local community... Saturday was the perfect way to end the term.

I couldn’t be prouder of every single student. Watching their confidence grow, seeing friendships flourish and celebrating all they’ve achieved this year is what Dance ARC is all about.

To all of our wonderful families, thank you for your continued support throughout the year. It means so much and helps make Dance ARC the special community it is.

Now it’s time for a well-deserved summer break! ☀️

We’ll still be sharing plenty over the holidays, including our Summer Challenge, behind-the-scenes updates and a few exciting things we’re working on for September... so keep an eye on our page! 👀💜

These are one of my favourite things I’ve created this year… 💜

They’re all ready for my wonderful Grade 3 Ballet dancers.

I can’t wait to hand them out tonight and see their reactions!

Sometimes the best part of teaching isn’t just the dancing - it’s finding little ways to keep our dancers inspired and excited about their journey.

Have the best summer, Grade 3s…..your next adventure is about to begin. ☀️ 🩰

🍫🎶 KitKat Week is one of our favourite end-of-year traditions—but it’s much more than just a sweet treat!

In our older Tap & Modern classes, we use a 4-finger KitKat as a hands-on way to teach musical notation and rhythm. The four fingers represent a bar of 4/4 time, helping our dancers visualise how music is counted. We then break the KitKat down to demonstrate semibreves, minims, crotchets and quavers, giving the children a practical understanding of note values and how rhythms fit within a bar.

A strong understanding of musicality is an essential part of dance. By using visual and tactile learning alongside movement, we help our dancers develop confidence in counting, recognising rhythms and interpreting music—skills that support their dancing across all genres.

Of course, the best part is enjoying the KitKat afterwards! 🍫

It’s been so hot this week that our Tuesday and Wednesday classes swapped the studio for the theatre! ☀️🎭

We were really lucky to have the space to keep cool while still enjoying our final classes of the school year. It was definitely a much more comfortable place to dance, learn and spend some time together before we break up for the summer.

A lovely way to end another fantastic year for these groups 💜

🌞 Saturday Classes Update 🌞

We’re looking forward to welcoming everyone to our Saturday classes tomorrow!

Unlike our weekday classes, our Saturday sessions take place in the Annexe building, which stays much cooler, and all of our classes finish before the hottest part of the day.

To help keep everyone safe and comfortable, we’ll be making a few changes:

💧 Extra water breaks throughout the morning
🩰 Lessons will be adapted to avoid any strenuous activity and ensure everyone stays safe and comfortable.
👕 Lightweight clothing (such as loose-fitting T-shirts and shorts) is encouraged
🥤 Please make sure every dancer brings a named water bottle
🪭 Handheld fans are welcome too!

As always, the wellbeing of our dancers is our top priority, and we’ll continue to monitor the conditions throughout the morning.

See you tomorrow! 💜

☀️ Quick class update!

With the hot weather sticking around into Friday, we’ve decided to cancel Friday’s classes.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and we’ll see you all back in class soon! 💜✨

Learning through play 🩰✨

Our Saturday ballet students were working on their turnout in plié after a jump with a fun partner challenge using balls. Sometimes a simple game is the best way to help dancers understand a new skill!

Lots of concentration, teamwork and smiles in class 💕💜
