Garston BC has been made aware of spiteful and malicious rumours circulating around the County about the future of the club and the condition of our green.

We would like to clarify the following:

Garston BC have been offered a new 15 year lease by Watford and District Council securing our future until at least 2041.

The Green at GBC has suffered the same as virtually every other Green in the local area. A combination of extreme heat and lack of water (owing to a faulty irrigation system)

We are pleased to confirm that a brand new state of the art irrigation system is being installed by the end of this playing season ready for winter and next summer.

We look forward to welcoming you all to GBC in 2027. Which will be our 90th anniversary year

We politely request anyone spreading the above rumours stop spreading misinformation and those hearing these rumours kindly set the record straight!

Congratulations to Jerry Rumball & Glenn Williams who win the Hertfordshire Bowls Men’s Pairs for the 2nd consecutive year. Adding to their ECBA Pairs from earlier in the season 🎉

Jerry also claims the Men’s Two Bowl Singles - meaning he is the first player in Hertfordshire to win all 5 main titles at least twice! Double Grand Slammer!!
