Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats

Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats Creating space to rest, reconnect & roam freel. Meaningful escapes in beautiful places If I were to have a mission it would be….. About Me

Hi, I’m Maria…..

Here's a bit about Roaming Spirit Yoga Retreats

I’ve been running retreats since 2013 these were previously in France at my own property and in the UK at various locations. After a few changes to my personal circumstances which felt like a new beginning I decided to also give the company a fresh look. So Tranquillite Retreats become Roaming Spirit Retreats with a focus on Yoga, Nature and Community. I’ve always loved bringing people together on retreat it offers an opportunity for everyone to relax and focus on themselves for a few days. Yoga really is self-care, a chance to check in and notice how you are doing. Being on retreat means you have the time and space to catch up with yourself, this could be having a chance to rest and reflect, the time to do something you love or discovering a new pursuit. To create yoga retreat experiences that are fun, nurturing, inclusive and collective helping to improve your well-being and connect to a deeper sense of self. I’ve been teaching Yoga since 2011 and practicing since 1996. My own experience with Yoga has been a very positive one and it’s left me quite enthusiastic about spreading the word and passing on what I’ve discovered to others. My other pursuit is to be outside in nature, I love walking, foraging, climbing and paddle boarding. I think growing up on a farm probably had an effect on me as I find being outdoors very healing. Although I’m happy to do all of this alone there is something very special about sharing this with a group as I feel it connects us to each other and more importantly back to the earth. I hope to bring all of this (and me) to the retreats so you can encounter the benefits of yoga, nature and community collectively.

Are you ready to book that retreat, but worried about arriving alone? 🤔

Let’s talk about the single biggest fear people have before joining us: “Will everyone already know each other?”

The answer is almost always no. 💖

Stepping into a new environment solo can feel daunting from booking that flight to walking into a circle of new faces. But here’s the reality: Most of our guests arrive as solo travelers.

On our retreats, you’re never truly alone unless you want to be.

Slide to see why coming solo might just be the best decision you make this year:

✨ Connection Happens Naturally: Friendships form authentically—around a common space (Slide 1), side-by-side on a spectacular hike (Slide 2), or over shared meals. We don’t do awkward icebreakers.

✨ Your Own Private Sanctuary: Coming alone doesn’t mean sacrificing space. You get your own comfortable private room—often with an en-suite—so you always have a peaceful place to retreat to (Slide 3).

✨ Your Retreat, Your Pace: Every single activity is optional. You are totally free to rest, read by the pool (Slide 4), or take a quiet solo walk. No pressure. Ever.

Whether you join us for a Weekend Reset, a Day Retreat, or a 7-Night Escape in Greece or the French Alps, we make sure every guest feels supported, comfortable, and deeply connected before, during, and after their stay.

Coming alone isn’t something to overcome—it is a superpower! You arrive on your own terms, and you leave recharged with a fantastic new circle of friends.

Have you ever taken the leap and booked a trip by yourself?

Coming on your own? You’re not alone! 💛

One of the questions I get asked most often when people are thinking about booking a retreat is:

👉 “Will everyone else already know each other?”

The answer is almost always a gentle, reassuring no.
It’s completely normal to feel a little nervous about stepping into a new space by yourself or even boarding a plane solo. But here’s the secret: the vast majority of people joining our retreats arrive as solo travelers!

Here is how we make sure you feel totally at home from the moment you decide to join us:

✈️ Connected before you arrive: We create a friendly pre-retreat WhatsApp group so you can connect early. If you're arriving at the airport around the same time as someone else, you can grab a coffee, share a transfer, or carpool together. You’re looked after before you even pack your bags!

🌿 No awkward icebreakers: Friendships happen naturally here. Whether it's chatting side-by-side on a walk, moving together in an all-levels yoga class, or sharing fresh, delicious meals around the table there’s zero pressure to perform.

🛌 Your own private sanctuary: Coming solo doesn’t mean sacrificing your privacy. We offer comfortable private rooms (many with en-suites!) so you always have a serene space to go back to, relax, and recharge with a good book.

🌸 100% optional everything: Your time is truly yours. If you want to jump into every activity, fantastic! If you feel like skipping a session to take a quiet walk or just snooze in the sunshine, that is 100% okay. No judgment, ever.

Whether you’re looking for a short Day Retreat, a 3-Night Weekend Reset, or an immersive 7-Night Escape to Greece or the French Alps, there is a space ready and waiting for you.

Coming on your own isn’t something to worry about it’s often the very thing that makes a retreat so wonderfully transformative. ✨

Have you ever been on a retreat or trip by yourself? Or is it something you’ve been thinking about trying?

🍂 Autumn Equinox Retreat Day 🍂

Today was all about slowing down, breathing a little deeper and making space to simply be.

We began with a gentle two-hour yoga practice, moving through somatic movement, psoas release and a slow, grounding flow before gradually coming back down into restorative postures and deep rest.

Then it was time for lunch before heading out into the beautiful gardens at Plas Cadnant for a mindful wander. And just as we stepped outside, the weather changed in time for our walk, bringing us some beautiful autumnal sunshine. ☀️🍂 It felt like the perfect little gift from the changing season.

We finished the day with a beautiful sound bath hosted by the lovely Becca from , giving everyone the chance to completely switch off, relax and simply receive. ✨

The Autumn Equinox feels like such a lovely reminder that balance isn't something we have to hold onto perfectly. Like nature, we are constantly changing, releasing and finding our way back to centre.

Thank you so much to everyone who joined me today. It was a real pleasure to share this special day with you. 🤎

And a huge thank you to Becca for creating such a peaceful and beautiful sound bath, and to everyone who helped make the day so special.

Here's to embracing the slower pace of autumn, making space for rest, and noticing the beauty in the changing season. 🍁

🍂 Yesterday reminded me why I love walking so much.

I went for a walk in Denbighshire and it was one of those beautiful days where you just want to keep going.

The sunshine, the views, the fresh air… but what really struck me was the smell of the trees.

The pine was incredible. 🌲

That deep, earthy, fresh smell that you only really notice when you're out walking amongst the trees. I actually stopped a few times just to breathe it in.

And I think that's one of the things I love most about being outdoors.

It's not just the exercise. It's all the little things you don't necessarily notice when you're busy with everyday life — the smells, the sounds, the changing colours, the feeling of the air on your skin.

You come back feeling like you've properly been somewhere.

It reminded me that this is exactly why I want to get Roaming Yogis back out walking together. 🌿🥾

Next week we're heading to Carrog for an autumn walk, with a little seasonal foraging along the way and a snack to enjoy during the walk.

£15 per person

And afterwards there's a lovely pub nearby if anyone fancies staying for lunch, or you can simply head off home.

I'm putting a poll in the Roaming Yogis WhatsApp group for Thursday 24th or Friday 25th September, so we can choose the date that works best for the group.

If you fancy some fresh air, beautiful countryside and a bit of good company, come and join us.

Move. Connect. Protect. 🌱

🥾 ROAMING YOGIS AUTUMN WALK — FRIDAY 25TH SEPTEMBER

And don't forget, the Roaming Yogis walks are still happening too!

We’ve moved our Carrog walk to Friday 25th September at 10.30am, as the weather is looking better and more people can make that date.

It’s around a two-hour walk through woodland and up onto the hills, with beautiful views, a little bit of seasonal foraging along the way, and a snack provided.

We’ll then head back into Carrog for lunch at the pub overlooking the river.
