Recording Night is always a blast! 🎥🤠

There’s sugar, there’s laughter and, somewhere amongst all the chaos, there’s usually some dancing too!

Does it always go perfectly?

Absolutely not. In fact, most of the time it doesn’t and that’s the best bit! We laugh through the mistakes, reset and try again. We may have arrived with the serious intention of recording dances, but every muddled step and unexpected wobble is good practice anyway!

A huge well done to the team who danced and recorded an incredible 13 dances in just two hours, a new record! 🏆 Although we definitely danced far more than 13. Some were simply… rehearsals with surprise endings! 😂

What a brilliant bunch of happy, energetic and wonderfully chaotic dancers. You absolutely danced your boots off! 👢❤️

So many workshops and socials are galloping towards us that my diary has begun whimpering quietly in a corner. We’re going to be wonderfully busy right through until Christmas! 🤠🎄

The only question is: how many events will you make it to before your boots demand annual leave?

I can’t wait to dance, laugh and create a thoroughly unreasonable amount of organised chaos with you all! 👢✨

When the teaching is done, the current dances have been recapped and everyone’s feet should, by all reasonable laws, be ready to go home… sometimes we unleash the chaos instead. AND the disco lights!

So here’s last night’s joyful nonsense with American Kids and Ziggy (song swapped!)… OH AH! 🤠😂

It turns out this really is the best job in the world, although calling it a “job” feels generous when we’re having this much fun! Looking forward to more dancing, laughter and questionable decision-making at class this evening! 👢✨

Sorry I’m a little late with this week’s plan, it’s been a very busy weekend, mostly involving dancing, more dancing and even more dancing! 🤠

What a FANTASTIC workshop today! 🤠💃

I have officially danced my boots off, probably left several important muscles somewhere on the dance floor, and learnt some brilliantly funky new dances from Debbie Rushton and Tim Johnson! 😂🔥

A huge thank you to Christina for putting on such a brilliant day, great music, great dancing and a thoroughly lovely bunch of people to spend a Sunday with. ❤️

And, naturally, I’ve come home with my head absolutely BURSTING with ideas… 👀

So dancers, consider this your warning: there are definitely some new teaches heading to class very soon! 🤠😈

My feet may object. They have been overruled. 😂

Well, that was brilliantly different… a hoedown in the dahlias with Dahlia Beach! 🌸🤠

Woodchip is not a dance floor I’ll be rushing to tango with again anytime soon, it has opinions about footwork and apparently objects to spinning, but what a brilliant evening!

The BBQ brisket was absolutely stunning, it was lovely to spot some familiar faces in the crowd giving the dancing a go, and fabulous to see the amazing Ox Country Line Dancers there too!

Now I’m off for a full day of dancing at a line dance workshop because, apparently, my feet haven’t suffered enough. YEE HAW!!

What a brilliant way to start a weekend full of dancing! Socials, Dancing in the Dahlias and a workshop are all booked for me before we head back to classes next week, as you know, sitting still was never an option.

All this while learning some new dances to teach and settling into our lovely new Aston home. There are not enough hours in the day, but we’re doing our very best to dance through all of them!

A huge thank you to Di'mond Spurs Line Dancing for having us and giving us somewhere to dance off some of that excess energy. We had an absolute blast! 🤠💃✨
