Really tough weekend of results for both teams last weekend!
Saturday seen the girls take on Glenavon in what started as a very close encounter and in truth a game where both teams where pushing for a good start. Unfortunately it was Glenavon that took a two goal lead into the break. In the 2nd half we tried to open the game up in our favour but we're unable to make our chances count. As the game went on, confidence began to fade and Glenavon where able to take adavantage.

Player of the Match - Gabbie 🏆
One of the best games weve seen Gabbie play! Slightly out of position but trusted with a job and a job she stuck too from minute one. Strong into the tackle and her play down the right hand side was excellent 👏. A sign of things to come from Gabbie this season.
For the Sunday girls it was an away day vs a very good Heswall team!
The girls found themselves behind more or less from kick off but to be fair it was the building block for the remainder of their 1st half. Everyone was fast and tough into every tackle against the boys. A very high intensity 1st half ended with the girls having plenty of chances and brilliant moments. The 2nd half however was an ask too much, we were unable to maintain the intensity against a very good team. But it wasnt about the result, more the performance 👏
Player of the Match - Erin 🏆
The 1st sign of Erin hitting the levels of last season. Fired up from the start and it was visible with every tackle she made. Her hold up play at the top of the pitch and passes in behind were excellent at times. Back in defence she was prepared to stick with her man and play out from the back 👏
