Season starts one week today! ⚽

Something for all parents to get on board with as we head into the new season.

Parents, we all have a part to play in encouraging and supporting our teams. If you are interested in coaching, there are three minimum requirements to complete:

1. DBS Check
2. FA Safeguarding Course
3. FA First Aid Course

Once these are completed, you can then progress onto the relevant FA coaching courses and begin developing your coaching knowledge and skills.

Please also bear in mind that coaching is about much more than simply standing on the sidelines for an hour on match day and shouting instructions.

There is plenty of work that goes on before, during and after games, including:

- Contacting opposition teams and confirming match details
- Organising pitch set-up
- Completing matchday paperwork
- Updating Full-Time and completing post-match admin
- Preparing and planning the next training session
- Working within a clear structure and format for training
- Building positive relationships with the players as part of the coaching team

Coaching takes time, preparation, commitment and energy. Most importantly, it is about helping our players develop, enjoy their football and build a positive relationship with their coaches and teammates.

So, as we approach the first weekend of September, please keep this in mind. We need parents to support our coaches and understand the commitment involved in taking on a coaching role.

🐅 EXCITING TIMES FOR OUR MINI TIGERS! 🐅

We’re delighted to announce an exciting new partnership for our Mini Tigers! 🙌

The Mini Tigers are currently training under Toffee until the end of September, and from our winter training programme in October, we’re excited to welcome Matty Downing, co-founder of 2Touch Academy, who will be taking the reins with the Mini Tigers. ⚽️

Matty worked closely with Toffee and his U13 Tigers throughout the U12 season, and the players benefited massively from his knowledge, coaching and experience.

We’re really excited to have 2Touch Academy working alongside us to help develop our Mini Tigers, building their skills, confidence and love for the game as they prepare for the transition into U7 football when the time comes. 💪🐅

We are delighted to announce that Ella has been appointed as our new Club Secretary.

Following the departure of Liam from the role this season, we were without a Club Secretary, and Ella stepped in to help cover player registrations and support the club wherever needed.

Over the past 12 months, Ella has been a fantastic addition to the club. She has worked closely with our Mini Tigers, played a key role in helping form our new U7 age group, and continues to manage the Mini Tigers administration, where she is doing a brilliant job.

We are now delighted to welcome Ella onto the Club Committee as our new Club Secretary. Her commitment, organisation and enthusiasm have already made a huge difference, and we know she will do a fantastic job in her new role.

Congratulations, Ella, and thank you for everything you continue to do for the club!
