We’re Back! What’s happening this week 🏑

The countdown to the new season is well and truly on and our squads are back in action this week with another round of crucial pre-season friendlies!

Please see this week’s fixtures on top of our regular Ladies Training Tuesday 19:30 & Men’s Training Wednesday 19:00 at Longhirst.

They’re back! Our juniors had their first training session ahead of the new season.

The Sun was shining and the sand has settled on the pitch. Time to get to work 💚💛

Massive congratulations are in order for our incredible Morpeth players who represented their countries on the world stage at this year’s Masters World Cup in the Netherlands and Belgium! 🌍🏑

We are beyond proud of the grit, talent and hard work they brought to the international pitch:

🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🥇 Maz – Bringing home Gold with England Over 65s! Absolute dominance.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿🥈 Jock – Claiming a fantastic Silver medal with Scotland Over 60s!
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 Lyn – Securing 7th place with Wales Over 65s, capped off brilliantly by winning Player of the Match against Canada in their playoff game!
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Beth – Putting in a massive shift for Scotland Over 35s, finishing 8th in a tough, high-paced tournament.
🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 Bruce – Battling hard and securing a brilliant 6th place finish with the Scotland Thistles Over 55s!

To perform at this level takes years of dedicationand seeing our club represented across multiple age groups and nations is simply unreal. Huge well done to all of you from everyone at Morpeth Hockey Club 💚💛

Major upgrades at Morpeth Hockey Club! 🏑

Following our successful lighting upgrade, we’re excited to announce that our pitch has undergone a full rejuvenation project 🛠️

By deep-cleaning and replacing the infill, we’ve restored the pitch’s drainage, ball roll and traction - extending its lifespan by 3–5 years! We’ve also locked in a new 12-month professional maintenance plan to keep it in top condition for the season ahead.

Our ladies were first to try out the improvements tonight and let’s just say, we’re ready for action!

Huge congratulations to the 8 incredible U13 Morpeth Junior players who were selected to represent Team North East this weekend! 🌟

Our girls headed down to Nottingham to compete in the UK Regional Hockey Tournament, showcasing their skills in both the Championship and Trophy squads.

A huge shoutout to our fantastic Junior Vice Chair , who headed down to Morpeth All Saints First School to deliver some amazing hockey taster sessions!

The kids brought so much energy, learned some great new skills, and most importantly, had a blast!

Let’s hope we see some of these bright faces in our junior ranks soon! 💚💛

Hockey is officially back in Morpeth! 🏑☀️

We kicked things off today with our Back to Hockey session, giving everyone a chance to get their eye back in, before heading straight into a brilliant Social Hockey run-out.

No pressure, no stress—just great people, good fitness and a mutual love for the game. Sun wasn’t too bad either ☀️ 😎
