The wait is over! Wakefield Squash Club Summer League officially gets underway this evening, and we've got some absolute belters to open the season!

Here is tonight's opening line-up:

Ball Busters vs. Racketeers

Steak & Kidney vs. Thoroughbreds

Whether you're stepping onto the court, bringing the noise or just fancy catching some high-energy local squash, everyone is welcome!

It is with great sadness that we share the news of the passing of one of our former members, Les Everiss.

Although it has been some time since Les was regularly on court at Wakefield, he remains a cherished part of our club’s history. During his time with us, he was a dedicated player, proudly representing Wakefield in the Leeds Metro League and competing with great enthusiasm in our internal mini-leagues.

Les left a lasting impression on everyone who had the opportunity to play alongside him over the years.

Our heartfelt thoughts and deepest condolences go out to Les’s family and loved ones during this sad time.

Rest in peace, Les.

A massive congratulations to Wakefield 1 for an incredible season! With an almost perfect record, only losing one match all season, they’ve topped the league and earned promotion to Division 1 for next season! 💪💪💪

Wakefield MatchPoint Squash: Siddall's Dramatic Title Win | News in Wakefield Read about the success of the first MatchPoint Wakefield Open, where 52 players battled it out. Daniel Siddall of Pontefract claimed the title in a thrilling final.

It's the women that are running the show at this weekend's Wakefield Open.

First matches kicking off at 8.55am sharp with the finals expected to run from 5.15pm!
