As the junior season gets underway this weekend, Thornes Juniors would like to thank all of our parents, families and supporters for the continued support you give to our teams.

Junior football should be a positive and enjoyable experience for every player, and the atmosphere created on the touchline plays a big part in that.

We ask everyone supporting our teams to help us maintain a respectful and encouraging environment throughout the season, both for our own players and coaches and for opposition teams and match officials.

Thank you for helping us make matchdays enjoyable, supportive and positive for everyone involved.

We’re looking to build on the success of our Diamonds squad - developing girls teams at every age group through the club.

If there’s a Reception or Year 1 player or want to be player - come and join us.

Chris is a parent of one of our players and Wakefield Technology 4 All is doing amazing work in the community.

We're delighted to share that our Chris Lord has been nominated and selected as one of nine finalists in this year's Unsung Heroes Awards run by the Community Foundation Wakefield District in recognition of his work with Wakefield Technology 4 All.

What started as a simple idea during covid, getting unwanted laptops into the hands of people who need them, has only been possible thanks to the generosity of volunteers, supporters, local people and local businesses.
