When you find your happy place - Dance is so much more than coming to class and learning routines. It’s resilience, friendship, life lessons, excitement, nerves, frustration and achievement all in one… and then some. We’re proud of every single@one of our students at The Verge. Keep up the amazing work!

BEHIND THE SCENES | JUNIOR PERFORMANCE TEAM

Sunday Rehearsal days are a LOT.

Exhausting. Repetitive. Draining. Exciting. Fun. Challenging. Rewarding. Testing. Hilarious.

Sometimes all within the same hour.

But this is where the magic happens. The repetition, the corrections, the concentration, the laughter, the moments of frustration and the moments where it finally clicks.

Our Junior Performance Team are working incredibly hard — and watching them grow, not just as performers but as a team, is something very special.

The finished performance is only a small part of the journey. This is the work behind it.

WHEN THE PERFORMANCE ELEMENT CLICKS.

For some dancers, facial expression and performance come naturally. For others, it’s something that develops over time and that’s completely okay.

It starts with confidence. Feeling comfortable. Feeling safe in your environment. And once that confidence begins to grow, the possibilities become endless.

Meet Amelia. ✨

Amelia has come on leaps and bounds with her performance skills, and watching that confidence develop has been so lovely to see.

Those little moments when everything suddenly clicks. The expression, the intention, the confidence, the connection, are exactly why we do what we do.

We couldn’t be more proud of you, Amelia. Keep going!

THE VERGE | INDUSTRY

Our Intermediate dancers are something special.

Every Friday, they train across Commercial & Street, pushing themselves, developing their performance quality and continuing to raise their own standards.

But what makes this team so brilliant isn’t just how hard they work.

They’re dedicated. Welcoming. Kind. Hard-working. And SO much fun to be around.

They support one another, celebrate each other’s progress and bring an energy into the room that makes Friday nights something to look forward to.

This is what we mean when we talk about The Verge community.

High standards. Big ambition. Genuine friendships. And a team that wants to see each other succeed. No dirty looks, snide comments or competitiveness - just a genuinely great team!

If you’re looking for your next training home and want to be part of The Verge | INDUSTRY, we’d love to hear from you.

Find a space where, when your day or week has been horrendous, you’re feeling down, anxious or nervous, school isn’t feeling great, friendships feel a little complicated and your mindset just isn’t where you want it to be…

You can walk through the door and let it all go.

A space where you don’t have to pretend you’re having the best day.

Where you know the people around you will be there, not just when you’re thriving, but when you’re struggling too.

At The Verge, we’re incredibly intentional about the students we bring into our community. We look for young people who are kind, respectful, hardworking and, most importantly, who genuinely lift one another up.

Because the right environment can change everything!

You should be able to walk into your training knowing you are surrounded by people who want to see you succeed, who will encourage you, challenge you, celebrate you and stand beside you.

High standards. High expectations. But always with kindness.

At The Verge, you can work hard, be challenged, grow enormously and still feel safe enough to simply be yourself.

A place to train, belong and let it all go.

13/09/2026

Should performing arts training be gruelling and results-driven, or fun and light-hearted?

We don’t believe it has to be one or the other.

At The Verge, we believe there is a place for high standards, discipline, correction and ambition but alongside laughter, confidence, friendship and simply loving what you do.

Because children can be challenged without being completely broken down.
They can be pushed without being overly pressured.
They can work towards excellence without losing the joy that made them want to dance, sing or perform in the first place.

We want our dancers to leave the studio having worked hard and being pushed out of their comfort zone but also having loved their time with us.

To know what it feels like to be held accountable and to a high standard, whilst also feeling safe enough to make mistakes, ask questions, try again and be themselves.

That, to us, is the healthy balance.

High standards.
Real training.
Genuine care.
And most importantly, keeping the love for performing alive.

Excellence Without Ego!!

The Verge | INDUSTRY Intermediate dancers have worked incredibly hard over the past few weeks, and we couldn’t be more proud of them.

They’re not only working hard and pushing themselves, they’re kind, supportive, encouraging and genuinely invested in one another. Watching them grow in confidence, technique and performance while lifting each other up along the way is exactly what The Verge is about.

Keep pushing. Keep supporting. Keep showing up.

You’re becoming something very special, and we’re so proud of you.

The Verge | VIP PROGRAMME | Your training. Taken to the next level.

The VIP Training Bags are almost packed and ready to go… and we cannot wait to get these into the hands of our selected dancers. 👀

Every bag has been carefully put together with the tools our VIPs need to support their training, recovery and development — from their bespoke Verge House Training Journal to stretch bands, weights, yoga blocks, massage tools, foam rollers… and plenty more.

But the bag is only the beginning.

Each year, from our 90+ and growing students, up to 10 dancers are hand-selected to become part of The Verge | VIP Programme.

Their training intensifies.
Their expectations rise.
Their support becomes more individual.
And their development becomes even more intentional.

✨ Small-group training
✨ Private tuition
✨ Weekly written feedback
✨ Bespoke training & development
✨ Strength, flexibility & conditioning support
✨ Tools to encourage independent training
✨ A dedicated journal to track their journey

This isn’t an extra class.

It’s an investment in the dancer.

And for the dancers selected this year… your bags are nearly ready.

VIP 26/27. Let’s get to work. 🔥

KNOWING YOUR DANCERS.

Teaching dance isn’t just about demonstrating a movement and expecting every student to replicate it in exactly the same way.

Every body is different. Every dancer moves differently. Every student processes, understands and takes information in differently.

That’s why knowing our students matters. We know every name, temperament and learning style.

We take the time to understand how each dancer’s body works, where they may need support, what explanations make sense to them and when an adjustment needs to be made.

Sometimes it’s a physical correction.
Sometimes it’s changing the way we explain something.
Sometimes it’s finding a completely different and whacky analogy that suddenly makes it click.

Our job isn’t to make every dancer look identical.

It’s to help every dancer understand their own body, move with awareness, build strength and technique safely, and ultimately become the best version of themselves.

Because no two bodies are exactly the same.

And no two brains learn in exactly the same way.

That’s the beauty of teaching and why we love what we do.
