We’re excited to be holding another Open Day on Tuesday 2nd June at 6:30pm, open to all girls from Year 6 upwards!

Following the fantastic response to our last event, many girls have been joining us weekly, taking part in fun activities alongside our Vixens. It’s been amazing to see our new members growing in confidence week by week!

Whether you’ve played at school before or you’re completely new to it, everyone is welcome. If you’d like to be part of something special, come along and see what we’re all about!

🧡🖤 1st XV FIXTURES

The fixtures for the forthcoming season have been released and there's a mouth-watering start as we host Staffordshire giants, Longton, we welcome Newcastle II back and look forward to clashes against promoted sides Bloxwich and Whitchurch II.

We'll announce the 2nd XV fixtures and Vixens fixtures as we get them.

We look forward to seeing you all at Oldfields and further afield as the season progresses!

As the Vixens head into their second season, here’s what Captain Susie Walker has to say…

I am truly honoured to retain the captaincy of the Uttoxeter Vixens into our second season.

Our inaugural season was beyond any expectation and when those first brave women stepped onto the pitch last summer for a bit of touch, I’m sure no one expected what would follow. With vast majority of the team learning the game from scratch, they took to it with such passion and enthusiasm, giving their absolute all, every training, every game.

We enter our second season ready to do the club proud. We know what it means to work hard for each other on the pitch and at training. More than this, we’ve found that unique bond you find in few other sports. Rugby goes beyond the game: you get a team, a club, a town, all there to support you and have your back.

If you’ve ever considered giving the game a go, even if you’ve never touched a rugby ball before, please come down and join us for a session. Everyone is welcome here.

With the support of our tenacious vice-captain, Rach, and our trusty coaches, Mike and Tim, we’re in for a fantastic season.

This is what Russ Astbury 2nd XV Captain has to say for his new role and upcoming season

I’m honoured to have been re-elected as captain of Uttoxeter 2nd XV. Thank you to everyone for your trust and support. The club has changed a lot since my last stint and im looking forward to this new chapter, working with a strong 2nds management team Aron plant and moz as joint vice captains and Dean as our coach.
This season, my aim is to lead by example, help build a positive team culture, and make sure we give everything for each other every time we pull on the shirt.
We’ve got a great group of lads, and I’m excited to see what we can achieve together.
And yes we need to all get on Spond, it helps the club and coaches for selection. Like call said it takes 5 seconds

This is what Cal Shaw 1st XV Captain has to say for his new role and upcoming season

First of all I’d like to say what an honour it is for myself personally to be announced as 1XV skipper for next season. Uttoxeter RFC has always been a huge part of my identity, and I’m looking forward to giving back to the club that’s given me so much in the past. I personally feel that after last years growth the club is in the best place it has been for some years now and that’s a credit to all the work that the coaches, committee and captains before me have done, so thankyou.

Moving onto next season, I will try my upmost to follow the footsteps of the legends who have held this title before me. My aim is to guide this talented squad filled with potential and ambition, back to where I believe we belong, which is an unmatched rugby club culture with targets of silverware and promotion.

I can’t wait to start the season, but first we have to tackle the dreaded ‘ pre season ‘ where I’m sure Jim will put us through our paces👀. It all starts here where I’d love commitment and passion to be apparent from the off. The club really is a place like no other and I’m sure you all feel the same.

To our supporters, I’m speaking for all players when I say the support we get from the crowd really does spur us on, so please if you are able, get down, shout and cheer us from the sidelines, enjoy a pint with us, and be apart of our success that I have no doubt we will have this year🧡
