_Two friends. Who started a journey together!_
**Was this a bad idea?*
**How did we navigate working remotely?*
**Are we still friends?*
We decided to take the plunge and start a business together and then a pandemic hit.
*-->Well here is an update from us.*
✔️To start, It was definitely not a bad idea!!
**We have coached more of hours than both of us can remember!*
**We setup a successful course that supported 12 black entrepreneurs*, _they have gone on to do some incredible work in their respective fields._
**We have setup a mother’s coaching program* _that has been exciting to see flourish._
✔️Working remotely was challenging, we are not gonna lie. _This was a challenge not because we needed to be near each other to do our work; but because we both love each-others company._
⁉️How did we go from *working out together*, to going for *dinners* to *zooms calls* and *more zoom calls.*
So are we still ?
*Of course we are!*
We have always said that our friendship is important and as we grow as friends and business partners *we grow as a stronger unit.*

Celebrating International Women's Day by saying thank you to the women who influenced us!
Big shout out to the women who coached us and encouraged us to start our coaching journeys - without them we wouldn’t have had the courage to be who we are today ❣️

3 Tips to help you shine and land that dream job!
While there’s no "one magic combination" that will make you be picked instantly, you can optimize your application by adjusting a few things to help you stand out!
✅ 1. Tailor your C.V to the business and role.
💡It's easy to fall into the copy-paste option, but you can shine if you tweak your resume so that the skills you possess that are required for the role are easy to spot.
✅ 2. When writing about your work experience:
✔️Keep it concise (3-5 points)
✔️Always include what you have achieved first.
💡Explain what you have acquired and learned through the experience. Do not just list off your responsibilities and duties.
✅ 3. Give a summary of your experience in the way ONLY YOU can!
✔️Be authentically you
✔️Give your thoughts and impressions and your achievements in your own words!
💡Only you know what you lived through and are proud off! If you aren't your #1 fan, than who else would that be? 😉
☑️ BONUS tip!! Have someone proofread your CV.
✔️Check for typos and spelling errors
✔️Edit awkward sentences, double words and bizarrely placed punctuation marks
💡Even though mistakes are natural, putting your best foot forward in an application will leave a positive impression!

The first 90 Days by MIchael D. Watkins
A great book for a leader in transition - whether you are entering a new role within your current company or a new one. A really helpful book to help you reflect on previous experience and prepare for a new one. It's certainly helped me plan for my new roles
What do you use to prepare for a new job?
