Our Rec regeneration project is underway. Please note there are listed and approved exceptions to the hosepipe ban. Those exceptions do not apply at peak times (eg 8am-10am). However, if you see our sprinkler system operating at 9am (for example) it is because we are distributing water from our tank, that was collected and filled overnight. Our yellow hose is not connected to a hosepipe but is connected to the water butt. I hope that clarifies for those who were rightly concerned.

Just for a change......some good news! Anyone who goes up to the Rec will be able to see the beauty of what a helpful Mother Nature can do, as our grass seed germinates. It's taken the kind of rainfall that made Noah build an ark to get it going, but it demonstrates that if we can keep water on the Rec over the summer with our irrigation project, the goal of restoring the Rec is achievable.
