What a fantastic Finals Day!

A huge congratulations to everyone who reached this year’s Club Championship and Plate Competition finals. The standard of tennis across both the junior and senior events was outstanding, with some brilliant matches and well-deserved winners.

A special thank you goes to our tournament organisers, Karen and Colin, whose hard work over many weeks made another successful tournament possible.

Finals Day itself simply wouldn’t happen without our incredible volunteers. From the barbecue, bar and kitchen to the tombola, photography and all the countless jobs behind the scenes, thank you to everyone who gave their time to make the day such a success.

Most of all, thank you to everyone who came along to support the finalists. The encouragement, laughter and willingness to help one another are what make St John’s Tennis Club such a special place.

Congratulations once again to all of our finalists and champions. We’re already looking forward to next year’s tournament!

What a fantastic evening at St John’s Tennis Club last night, bringing together the players who represented the club in league tennis over the winter.

The event was a chance to celebrate the Ladies 1 team winning both the Winter Kent League and the Winter Maidstone League. A brilliant achievement and a testament to the commitment, teamwork and talent across the squad.

The evening included a fun tournament, followed by a meal and drinks, giving everyone the opportunity to celebrate together.

The tournament was won by Wendy, with Abbie finishing second and Karen third.

A huge thank you to Denise for organising the league matches throughout the season, and to Louise for planning and delivering such a successful evening. Thanks also to Mark for keeping the tournament running smoothly with the scoring, and to everyone who helped behind the bar, with the set up and the clear up. Your support helped make the evening such a success.

Well done to all our league players on a fantastic winter season.

Walking Tennis at St John’s Tennis Club is a relaxed way to enjoy the game at your own pace, with a friendly group, fresh air, and a great way to stay active. Ideal if you’re returning to tennis, managing an injury, or just want to keep moving.
