SuperOne Rounds 11 and 12 takes the team to Shenington this weekend for the final double header of the season at one of the most historic circuits on the calendar.
Shenington sits on a windswept RAF airfield in Oxfordshire and has been part of British karting since 1960. The high-speed layout is dominated by long straights connecting two major hairpins, and slipstreaming plays a significant role in how races develop across the lap. It is a circuit that rewards precision under braking and the ability to time moves correctly in the fast, draft-dependent sections that define the layout.

Shenington is one of the oldest karting circuits in the UK, having hosted racing on the former RAF Edgehill airfield since 1960. Its airfield setting means it is open and exposed, and the conditions here can change quickly across a weekend. The layout is built around long straights that funnel into two major hairpins, and the slipstreaming battles that develop across those straights are a defining feature of racing at this circuit. Getting the braking points right and committing to the right moves at the right time matters more here than at most circuits on the calendar.
SuperOne is the UK's premier non-MSUK karting championship, attracting the strongest fields in the country across every class. With each event comprising two separate rounds, the points available across a single weekend can shape the final championship standings significantly.
Heading into the final weekend of the season, Vitesse Racing arrives at Shenington with plenty to race for. In Junior Max, the team leads the championship standings with three drivers inside the top ten. Senior Max sits eighth in class, and in Micro Max, the team holds seventh in the rookie standings in what is a first year of racing, alongside sixteenth overall in class. Rounds 11 and 12 represent the last opportunity to consolidate those positions, and the focus across both days is on executing cleanly and finishing the season in the strongest possible way.

A busy weekend for Vitesse Racing across two championships and two circuits.
At WMKC Round 5, Whilton Mill played host to Daniel Dabreo in Micro Max and Nathan Rond in Junior Max. Rond qualified P15 from 45 drivers, ran competitively through the heat races and worked through the A Final across 17 laps on the notoriously bumpy Whilton Mill surface. Dabreo completed every session across qualifying, heats and the final, adding to the experience being built through the WMKC season.
At British Kart Championship KZ Round 4 at Rowrah, Ralf Jüngling delivered one of his best results of the KZ season. Qualifying P12, he gained six positions in Heat 1 to finish P6, moved forward to P7 in the pre-final, and drove a controlled final from P7 to finish P5. Positions gained across every session of the day at one of the most demanding circuits on the British calendar.

Rowrah sits in Cumbria, near the west coast, and is a circuit that stays with you. The track is cut into the floor of a disused quarry, which creates substantial elevation changes across the lap and gives the venue a character that no flat circuit can replicate. The quarry walls provide natural grandstands that overlook the full layout, and the combination of the enclosed setting and the gradient shifts makes it one of the most demanding and engaging circuits on the national calendar.
The British KZ Championship represents the pinnacle of gearbox karting in the UK. The KZ class is the fastest machinery in British karting, and the championship consistently attracts the strongest drivers the country has to offer. With Round 4 at Rowrah, the season is entering a critical phase where results carry real weight in the standings.
For Ralf Jüngling, this weekend is another opportunity to build on what the season has shown so far and to put in a performance that reflects the pace he has demonstrated across the year.
