Why I Love Dance 💃😍

I’ve been dancing since I was 5 years old, and honestly… I’ve never stopped! 🥰💃

I started with ballet, then discovered tap — which I completely fell in love with! ❤️ — and later started jazz too. But my absolute favourite part was always show time! 🎭✨

The excitement of being told, “Let’s start preparing a dance for the show!” 🌟🤩 Honestly… PURE excitement! 😂 I loved learning new dances, moving to music and, of course, experiencing that little bit of magic that comes with performing on stage. ✨🎭

I worked my way through my dance exams, achieving Grade 8 in ballet and Grade 6 in both tap and jazz. 🩰🏅

It’s only recently that I’ve stopped attending regular dance classes myself, mainly since having my little one, but dance has always been such a huge part of who I am. ❤️

And I think that’s one of the reasons I love Move & Groove with Em so much. 🥹 Seeing children discover their love for dance, watching their confidence grow and seeing those huge smiles when they’re dancing brings me SO much joy. 💗

I know first-hand just how special dance can be, and I want my little movers to experience that same joy, confidence, excitement and magic that I felt growing up. ✨💃

And that’s why I love dance! ❤️

My classes are all about having FUN, building confidence and letting children express themselves through dance in a friendly, relaxed environment. 🌈

My 2nd summer class on Monday was a hit!! 🏝🌞🥰 Hawaiin tropical vibes!! The girls smashed it! We also had 2 new girls who are starting officially in September to which is fab! ❤️

🌟 What a superstar! 🌟

I just have to give a very special shoutout to one of my lovely little Movers after yesterday’s Summer Special! 💕☀️

She is naturally quite shy, so seeing her get involved with so many of our activities was amazing. At one point, she found one part a little tricky, but after having a little chat together, she showed such incredible resilience and determination. 🥹✨

She then worked brilliantly as part of a team and the biggest achievement of all… she stood up and performed the dance with her group in front of all of the parents! 🥰👏

For her, this was a HUGE step and something she should be incredibly proud of. 💗

Moments like this are exactly why I love what I do. Seeing the children grow in confidence, overcome little challenges and realise just how capable they are makes me one very proud dance teacher! 🩷

Well done, superstar — you absolutely smashed it! 🌟💃
