A newbie on a fishing trip with me at the weekend wanted to try slow pitch jigging for the first time!
I lent him one of my Handing, Shadow Cruiser Jigging rods and showed him a few SPJ basics.
He soon got the feel for it and the results kept coming in. This is one of many decent bass he caught using the brand new, soon to be released, JOKER ORCA mixed pitch jig.
This one's the Blood Head colours. Red, silver holoraphic foil, and zebra glow stripes make up the design.
A deadlyand highly versatile jig it can be fished at any speed and due to its compact streamline profile, its possible to go heavier without the jig becoming too long!
It will be available in 5 colours and 150g, 200g, 250g, 300g and a meaty 350g weights!

Keep an eye out for the upcoming release of the brand new JOKER ORCA mixed pitch jig!
This one's the Silver Halo colours and with one of several bass and po***ck I caught the other day.
It's been specifically chosen for it's shorter streamilne shape. This provides a quick drop and gains you more vertical time whilst keeping the profile nice and compact.
It's going to be available in 5 excellent colours and 150g, 200g, 250g, 300g and a hefty 350g! The bigger of thses jigs will be excellent in Scotland, Norway and deeper waters overseas

Juri had a cracking fishing trip recently!
He was using the JOKER Mayhem jig in Golden Halo 💛 and the JOKER Cobra jig in Orange Shadow colours 🧡
Some real quality and great tasting fish for the table, great sport on the super light slow pitch jigging geat.

Not the easiest of days fishing today with a fair breeze and swell but my clients kept at it and did well overall.

Best pollack went to Paul Evans at 14lb 8oz. We also had a couple of codling in the mix.
