WORKING UP TO MY MAX! 🆙️

Ended the third pressing rotation of the week on a high! Worked up through 120kg and 125kg before hitting my goal of a 130kg floor press single on Floor Press! Really pleased with how it moved and happy with progression on this movement since back in March and starting at 80kg, 50kg increase in 4 months! 🏋️

MY FIRST EVER DEADLIFT COMPETITION TODAY! 🎯

I honestly couldn't have asked for a better day. Three attempts, three successful lifts, all white lights. ⚪️

Opened with 190kg ⚪️
Second attempt of 205kg ⚪️ New PB.
Third attempt 212.5kg ⚪️ Second PB of the Day!

I managed to achieve a 10.5kg weight increase from my Deadlifts which is great! I couldn't of asked for a perfect well run event and this has given me great confidence and momentum going into my first ever powerlifting meet come later in the year!

Thank you to Burum Barbell for a great well run Deadlift competition, A big thanks to Russell for the excellent programming in my powerlifting journey so far. Thanks to everyone who supported me, cheered me on today, and helped me get to the platform. This is just the beginning of an exciting journey 🙌🏼

Final Heavy deadlift session in the books at Barbell Burum on Saturday. 3 x 3 on 185kg Deadlifts went well. This was my 3rd final set here.

Next stop is my first ever deadlift competition come Saturday 4th July!

No huge expectations going into this one for me. It's all about getting the experience, enjoying the day, and achieving away with a few new PBs to build good momentum for later on in the year.

I'm really excited to step onto the platform for the first time this Saturday commencing, and this feels like the perfect stepping stone towards my first full powerlifting competition in October in Barnstaple.

BARBELL FLOOR PRESS 3 X 2 ON 120KG 📈

First time ever on 120kg during this morning's session. Managed 6 reps across all three sets. More progress and improving on my pressing to come! 🚀

Secondary bench press day this week absolutely delivered!

Hit 112.5kg for 3x3 on the floor press an all-time PB (so far) and it moved really well. Followed it up with some speed bench press work with 60kg in weight and black resistance bands to finish the session on a high in the first part.

What's even crazier is that this movement is now up 32.5kg over the last 12 weeks now!

Still plenty more to come from ME. 📈

TESTING OUT THE NEW DEADLIFT PLATFORM 🏡 💥

Today's main Deadlift session was my second ever time on Paused Deadlifts then followed by wide grip sn**ch grip pulls from the floor.
