This past week at Alliance Shotokan Karate Club. Tuesday consisted of sharpening up of Ippons, also Sensei emphasized the importance of using the hips. Thursday night was a mix up of basics, kata and partner work. There was also a grading on Thursday night with Jack skipping a grade from 10th Kyu to 9th Kyu Orange belt. Congratulations Jack.

Congratulations to everyone who passed kyu gradings on Thursday night, 2 new Brown belts and a new 1st Kyu. Well done to our juniors who all passed gradings. See you all on Tuesday night 🥋🥋

Last Tuesday night at the Alliance was a continuation of grading preparation. Thursday night was a night of old school training with Sensei Butler. Using hand weights to do basic drills and Kata.

Last week was all about grading preparation, fine tuning and what is required. Also on Thursday advanced Kata .

Last week at the Alliance, Sensei Butler focused on power generation, utilizing the hips. Also on Tuesday night our juniors are very much improving with every lesson. Thursday night was Kata night, going from the first 5 right through to advanced Kata. Excellent turnout for both lessons 🥋🥋

Last week at Alliance Shotokan Karate grading preparation continued. Under the watchful eye of Sensei Butler those taking 3rd kyu and 1st kyu, sharpened up their ippons and Kata. Our juniors were being watched by Sensei Ruston Sr, they're coming on very well. We continue on Tuesday night 🥋🥋
