Today Sensei Darren attended a seminar at Tividale Shotokan Karate Club where they were hosting the phenomenal Sensei Simon Oliver.

Something we always encourage our students to do is visit other dojo, experience different styles and learn new skills that you can put into practice with your own training.

Darren has had a great morning of training, he has a new kata in his arsenal and some applications to go with it.

You may have noticed that team BJR were training for their fights in a cage over the last couple of weeks, elevating their training to an extra level by being able to practice working the ring and ropes.

While there they noticed that the floor in the cage was well used and needed some TLC. So Sensei Craige offered to help them out with some replacement mats and went down today with Sensei Darren to help finish fitting them.

The cage is at Ripped Fitness in Wednesbury where you will also find a well equipped gym and sun beds all at very affordable prices. This has become our new home to train at and prep for our future events.

We're looking forward to getting back in the cage and breaking the mats in 👊🏻💪🏻
