Not to be for the guys as Lybster kept their status in the 1st division.

Lybster took the lead after 10 mins from the penalty spot after a bouncing ball unluckily struck Andrew Bremner’s arm.
A poor spell was compounded by a 2nd goal on 15 mins from a cut back into the goalmouth.
The troops rallied well and competed well without being able to get a goal back.

Asa Sinclair praised the “exceptional” work rate of his Thurso Swifts team-mates after they booked their place in Caithness AFA’s end-of-season play-off.

Swifts booked their place in the play off with a win in Keiss.

Stuart Gray volleyed home on the stroke of half time after Andrew Bremner flicked on a Scott Mackay throw in.
John McLean made it 2 around the hour mark with an angled drive in off the post.
Ali MacDonald sealed the win 15 minutes from time after a mazy solo run.
Riley Gray burst into the box and fired home to make it 4 on 85 minutes.

Top Joes flew out the traps and were 2 goals to the good after 5 minutes of the match played.

Swifts after a sloppy start got a goal back around the half hour mark with Wilson neatly slotting the ball into the net in the aftermath of a corner.

Shortly after the interval the scores were level with Mackay’s 25 yard drive too hot to handle for the joes keeper.

Gray edged us in front with a close range left footed shot which took a nick of a defender.

McLean’s long range drive, which the keeper could only parry into the net, gave the black and whites breathing space for the final 15 minutes.

Scorers: Murray, McLean

Alan Murray put the home side ahead after 40 minutes with a header from a Riley Gray cross. 5 minutes after the turnaround John McLean extended the lead when he lofted the ball in from a tight angle and it looped over the Acks keeper.
Acks rallied and had lots of territory and 2 goals in the final 15 mins got them a share of the spoils.
