RA FITNESS IS STILL HERE 💪

It's been a while since I've posted on here and, if I'm honest, life has been pretty hectic!

I've had a lot going on personally, work has changed direction a few times and, at the same time, I've been completely locked into my own training as I work towards another attempt at breaking the 3-hour marathon.
But while I've been quiet on social media,

RA Fitness hasn't gone anywhere.

I'm still helping everyday people become fitter, stronger and more confident.

I've been taking RA Fitness back to basics.

No complicated fitness trends.

No intimidating gym environment.

No trying to be everything to everyone.

Just simple, effective training that fits around real life.

I'm still offering private 1-to-1 training from my studio, as well as training in the comfort of your own home, depending on what works best for you.

Whether your goal is to lose weight, get stronger, improve your fitness, build confidence or simply get yourself back into a routine — I'd love to help.

I've got plenty of qualifications and experience behind me, but ultimately it's pretty simple:

Turn up. Train hard. Get stronger. Feel better.

I'm going to start opening up a small number of spaces again over the next few weeks.

👋 I KNOW I'VE BEEN A BIT AWOL!

I've been pretty quiet on social media lately, but don't worry... I'm still here! 😂💪

I'm still training, still coaching, and still taking on new clients. Unfortunately, there just aren't enough hours in the day to do everything—and spending hours on social media has definitely taken a back seat!

On top of that, marathon training is back in full swing 🏃‍♂️💨 and honestly... it really does wipe you out! 😂😂

The miles are going in, the hard sessions are being done, and the goal is still the same—chasing that sub-3 marathon dream! 💪🔥

So if you've been thinking about getting started with your own fitness journey, I'm still taking on clients and would love to help you achieve your goals.

📢 Important Reminder

Just a reminder that, due to my new job commitments, all fitness classes have now been cancelled and will not be running going forward.

Unfortunately, my new work schedule means I can no longer commit to delivering classes at the standard I would like, so I have made the difficult decision to stop all classes for the foreseeable future.

Personal training sessions will also be extremely limited moving forward. Any available slots will be prioritised for my existing clients, and availability for new clients will be very restricted.

I want to thank everyone who has attended my classes and supported my business over the years. Your commitment, effort, and support have meant a great deal to me.

Once I have fully settled into my new role and have a clearer picture of my availability, I'll reassess things and provide any future updates.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

📢 Important Update on My Availability

I wanted to let everyone know that, due to taking on additional employment, I’ll need to make some changes to my availability for classes and personal training sessions.

Unfortunately, this means I’ve had to make some difficult decisions. After reviewing attendance and client numbers across my schedule, I have decided to cancel my Tuesday Youth Classes and my Free Saturday Fitness Class.

I know this won't be ideal for everyone, and it certainly wasn't an easy decision to make. I truly appreciate the support and commitment you've all shown.

As I settle into my new role and things become a little clearer, I'll be reviewing my schedule again to see what opportunities there may be to reintroduce classes or expand my availability once the dust has settled.

This change also means that my availability for personal training sessions will be very limited for the time being. My priority will be accommodating my existing clients first, and I'll be managing my schedule as fairly as possible.

Thank you all for your understanding, patience, and continued support. It means a lot, and I look forward to continuing to help you achieve your fitness goals wherever possible.

It's time to be honest.

I've seen a few posts with the tag line or promises like

"Get fit and Toned in 30 days"

I'm sorry but this is just a marketing myth and you will not get the results you want unless you are really in great shape to start with if this is the case u probably don't need the plan.

What You Can Achieve in 30 Days

Improved Posture: Consistent core and back exercises straighten your spine, making you stand taller.

Habit Building: The 30-days establish a routine of regular movement.

Energy Boost: Better sleep hygiene and increased cardiovascular activity provide a noticeable spike in daily energy.

Water Weight Drop: If you clean up your diet and reduce sodium or processed sugars, you may lose some initial water retention, helping your clothes fit looser. This will be the biggest weight lose not FAT.

Neuromuscular Adaptation: You will get better and stronger at the specific exercises you are doing (e.g., performing more push-ups, squats etc)

This is also the case for the 6 week shred plans

Think of fitness as a lifelong marathon rather than a sprint. To make legitimate, lasting changes advise shifting the focus to sustainable changes: a consistent caloric deficit for fat loss, progressive resistance training to build muscle, and eating a balanced, whole-food diet.

Something you might not have heard of is RED-S (Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport) it is something that affects more athletes than people realise.

As a coach I understand the effects and what to look out for. I personal learnt the hard way as I just pursued training thinking more was best and I just caused more damage than good.

It happens when the body isn’t getting enough fuel to match training demands — which can impact performance, recovery, hormones, sleep, mood, strength, and overall health.

More training doesn’t always mean better results. Recovery, nutrition, and proper fuelling are just as important as the sessions themselves.

Whether you’re training for weight loss, performance, or general fitness, your body needs enough energy to perform and recover properly 💪
