Who needs to press pause? 🙋♀️
Just look at our gorgeous Beginners Yoga community! 💙
This Thursday, we’re stepping away from the rush and fully immersing ourselves in longer-held Yin postures — allowing the body to soften, the mind to quieten and the nervous system to exhale.
I’ll also be introducing Samyama — the yogic practice of focused attention, meditation and deep absorption.
Ancient wisdom, translated into something meaningful for our modern, non-stop lives 😵💫
This will be our final class for a couple of weeks while I’m away hosting a retreat, so come and join us for a much-needed pause.

How often are you physically present, but mentally somewhere else?
Part of you is thinking about the next appointment.
Part is replaying an earlier conversation.
Part is remembering everything still waiting to be done.
In Yoga Sutra 3.4, Patanjali introduces Samyama—the practice of bringing our focus, meditation and full presence together.
It’s not about forcing the mind to be perfectly still.
It’s about noticing when your attention has wandered and gently inviting it back.
Again and again.
Back to the breath.
Back to the body.
Back to the life happening in front of you.
Swipe through the slides to explore how Dharana, Dhyana and Samadhi come together as Samyama 👉🏼
THIS WEEK’S INVITATION 💭
Choose one ordinary moment and meet it with your wholehearted attention.
Drink your morning tea without reaching for your phone.
Listen without preparing your response.
Take a walk and feel each step.
Let one thing be enough for that moment.
Sometimes, coming home to ourselves begins by allowing all of us to arrive in the same place.
💬 What will you give your wholehearted attention to this week?
Until next Sunday…
Be gentle with your mind 🧠

I think I’m starting to understand why people run… 🏃♀️
Run number 3 this week ✔️
It might only be a few miles at a time, but I’m actually really enjoying this new little challenge.
And surprisingly, it’s not really about the miles.
It’s about the solace I’m finding in running.
So much of my week is spent in teaching and guiding mode — thinking about others, holding space, encouraging, planning what comes next.
But when I run?
Headphones on.
Music playing.
Fresh air on my face.
All of this is silenced.
I don’t have to teach.
I don’t have to guide anyone.
I don’t have to plan what comes next.
For those few miles, I can simply be.
Just me, my music and one foot in front of the other 👟
Maybe that’s what I’m enjoying most — finding something that’s just for me.
Something that takes me out of my head and brings me right back into the moment.
Whether my knees are going to agree with my newfound enthusiasm remains to be seen 😂… but for now, I’m loving it.
What’s your solace?
What do you do that lets you completely switch off from the world for a little while? 🤍

So much of life is spent reaching for the next thing…
The next goal.
The next version of ourselves.
The next achievement.
The next place we think we need to be.
Without realising it, we can turn the present moment into something that always needs improving.
In Yoga Sutra 3.3, Patanjali describes Samadhi — a state of deep absorption, presence and connection.
It is a moment when our usual sense of separation begins to soften.
The mind grows quieter.
The need to analyse fades.
The question, “What’s next?”, falls away.
For a moment, we stop trying to improve the experience and simply meet life as it is.
Perhaps you’ve already felt glimpses of this:
Standing somewhere beautiful in nature.
Watching a sunset.
Listening to music.
Holding someone you love.
For a few moments, nothing else is needed.
You are simply there.
THIS WEEK’S INVITATION 💭
Pause somewhere in your day and ask yourself:
What if, for this moment, nothing was missing?
Not because life is perfect.
Not because everything is sorted.
But because you allow yourself to stop measuring this moment against another one.
✨ I am here.
✨ I am enough in this moment.
✨ Nothing needs to be added right now.
Peace doesn’t come from doing more.
Sometimes it appears when we stop asking the present to become something else.
💬 Where in your life could you allow yourself to simply be?
Until next Sunday…
Be gentle with your mind 🧠

SUNDAY SUTRAS | Ancient Wisdom for Modern Life
When was the last time you were completely here?
Not checking your phone.
Not thinking about what’s next.
Not replaying what’s already happened.
Just… here.
Last week we explored Dharana — choosing where we place our attention.
This week, takes us one step further.
In Yoga Sutra 3.2, Patanjali introduces Dhyana… meditation.
Not an empty mind.
Not forcing thoughts away.
But allowing attention to become less scattered… and more continuous.
Imagine sitting by the sea.
At first, you notice every wave.
Then after a while, you stop analysing each one and simply become absorbed in the rhythm.
The sound.
The movement.
The rise and fall.
You are simply there.
That is the quality of Dhyana.
And perhaps you’ve experienced it without calling it meditation:
Walking somewhere beautiful.
Listening to music.
Watching the sea.
Being completely absorbed in a conversation.
For a few moments, you’re not mentally in five different places.
You’re simply present.
💬 This week’s invitation:
Choose one ordinary moment and give yourself fully to it.
One walk.
One meal.
One conversation.
One breath.
🌱 I am here.
🌱 I am present.
🌱 This moment is enough.
Because sometimes presence doesn’t require us to add anything.
It simply asks us to stop being everywhere else.
🫶🏼 Where in your life could you be a little more fully present this week?
Until next Sunday…
Be gentle with your mind 🧠

SOLD OUT ✨ And this is only the beginning…
This September, a beautiful group of women will join me in Andalusia for six days of movement, nourishment, rest, connection and space to simply be.
Andalusia 2026 sold out many months ago, and now, with just weeks to go, the excitement is really starting to build 💫
There’s something very special about watching a retreat move from an idea in my head to a group of women saying, “Yes, I’m coming.”
Yoga under Spanish skies.
Beautiful food around the table.
Slow mornings.
Time by the pool.
Exploring somewhere new.
And plenty of space to do absolutely nothing at all.
Rest. Restore. Revive.
And as Andalusia gets closer, my thoughts are already turning towards 2027…
⛰️ The Lake District 2027 waitlist is now OPEN.
My last Lake District retreat sold out within 24 hours, so joining the waitlist means you’ll be amongst the first to hear the details — with priority access to dates, accommodation and exclusive early bird prices before the retreat is released publicly.
And there may just be more Alchemist Yoga adventures to come… 👀
If a retreat has been quietly calling you, perhaps 2027 is your year.
