Today we travelled to face a very good Burntwood Phoenix Flames side for our first competitive game of the new season — and what a performance from the girls!

At times we played some incredible football. Our passing was on point, we were strong in the challenges and the work rate across the whole team was fantastic. We created some brilliant opportunities and had some fantastic shots on goal. ⚽️

A special mention has to go to our new players. You’d honestly think they’d been with us for years! They’ve settled straight into the team, worked hard for each other and looked completely at home in a Telford Town shirt.

A joint award today for Millie and Arianna, who were outstanding in midfield. Their effort, work rate, determination and battling in the middle of the pitch were superb from start to finish. A fantastic performance from you both — thoroughly deserved! 👏👏

Sienna is a huge part of this team — a leader both on and off the pitch who sets the standards with her attitude, determination and work rate.

Strong and composed on the ball, Sienna’s quality always shines through. She has a fantastic eye for a pass and, of course, that wand of a left foot! 🪄⚽

Cool, calm and always reliable, she’s the type of player every team wants in their ranks and someone we know we can count on when it matters.

Meg has become a fantastic part of the squad and brings plenty to the pitch every time she pulls on the shirt.
With her speed, dribbling ability and powerful shot, she’s a constant threat going forward and a player capable of making things happen.
But it’s not just about her ability on the ball. Meg is a determined and feisty competitor who never shies away from a battle and gives absolutely everything for the team.

🔵Telford Town Ladies are thrilled to announce that Maisie Docherty has agreed to sign for the club! ✍️⚽
Maisie is a player we’ve had our eye on for some time, and we’re delighted to finally bring her to Telford Town.
A player capable of changing a game in a flash, Maisie brings outstanding passing and link-up play, a thunderous shot, and a fantastic footballing IQ and understanding of the game.
She has that little bit of magic too — the ability to produce a flash of brilliance when it matters most. ✨

Manager Elys Davies said:
“Maisie coming to the club is huge for us and, on a personal level, it’s great for me too. I managed her at U18s, so I know exactly what I’m getting.
“I also know what she’s capable of, and I’m confident we can get the very best out of her. She’s an exciting player and a fantastic addition to the squad.”

Kaitlyn trained with us during the latter part of last season and massively impressed the coaching team. We knew she was someone we wanted to bring into the squad, and we’re delighted she’s chosen Telford Town for her next chapter.
Fresh and ready for a new start, Kaitlyn brings a neat and tidy style of play, plenty of quality on the ball and the ability to strike it with real power. 💥⚽
She has already shown what she can bring to the group and has fitted in brilliantly. An asset both on and off the pitch, Kaitlyn will be a key part of our squad this season.

Telford Town Ladies are delighted to announce that Skye Hipkiss is staying for another season! 💙
Skye really impressed during her first season with the club. A technically gifted player with a fantastic first touch, she has the quality to make things happen whenever she gets on the ball.
Her intelligent movement and positioning make her a real handful for defenders, while her composure in front of goal makes her a top finisher who knows exactly where the goal is. ⚽🔥
After a brilliant first season, we’re excited to see Skye continue to develop and take her game to another level this year.

Telford Town Ladies are delighted to announce that Milana Strickley has signed with the First Team for the new season! 💙✍️
Milana is another fantastic success story from our Under-18s pathway. After being dual-signed last season, she stepped into the First Team environment and immediately impressed.
She has a great understanding of the game, works tirelessly off the ball and shows real quality when in possession. Her attitude and performances have shown that she’s ready to take the next step.
It’s always special to see a player progress through our youth setup and into the senior squad, and we’re excited to see Milana continue her development this season.
A real asset to the team and another one of our own making the step up! 💙⚽

Telford Town Ladies are delighted to announce that Maddi Hawthorne is staying for a third season! 💙

Fast, strong and always a threat going forward, Maddi finished last season as our top goalscorer — a fantastic achievement and a real testament to the hard work she puts in both on and off the pitch. ⚽🔥
Maddi gives us 100% every time and her dedication to the team is second to none. She continues to develop, improve and push herself, and we know there is still plenty more to come.
We’re delighted to have Maddi back in blue for another season — and we can’t wait to see what she does next! 💙
